Compared my work mates 4S and 5 yesterday and the new design should really reduce the amount of glass being broken, they have really protected the screen well unlike the 4/4S design. I would guess it was huge driving force for the new design.

Also LTE rocks, he is getting 2000-3000KBs download speeds and over 1000KBs uploads.

It might be the same issue as that posted in the suggestion box.

The one thing I have found is that if you are out of a LTE/4G area the battery drains quickly because the phone is constantly looking to jump up from 3G. 11 hours standby unless you switch LTE off...

Interesting. Are you near a 4G area? I only ask as I'm nowhere even close to one and I'm fine battery wise. I lose about 3% per hour if I'm not using it.

I've been on iOS 6 since I got my phone on Friday 21st Sept and have so far used 19MB. The GF updated to iOS 6 early last week and has used 21MB.

    So no....

From the sound of it the Telco's are pretty aware of it and realise it's not a customer error. Would be pretty ballsy of them to charge customers the excess data. Today / Tonight and A Current Affair would be on top of them straight away!

I dropped my 3GS multiple times and never cracked it. (thank goodness!) Mind you I did always have a case and screen cover on it. I wanted to keep it in good condition (it's mint cond) and now our daughter is able to use it as an ipod.

I got to the Optus store 20mins before opening here on the 21st and was third in line for my phone. Was out of the store with my new phone by 8.30am.

I am SO happy with my 5 after having the 3GS. Major upgrade for me, much faster, prettier, crisper image and lighter. The 5 will do me just fine for the next 2 yrs.

Still cranky about not having a dock adaptor yet, but wall charger will do for now.

Just an FYI, if anyone is having massive battery drain, reset all the settings and should be sweet...

1GB per month plan and apparently I've used all my data in one 29 hour session. Despite the fact of my work having Wi-Fi and my home having Wi-Fi and thats the only places I've been in that timeframe.

This is about to get very interesting.

Lefty Put in a call to telstra and record it, they should credit you another gig. Then it is noted as they know about the fault.
