I havedownloadedseen heaps of full albums on Bit Torrent.
The best place is your local library. They have standing orders for the Top 40 stuff and you can borrow them for free!
Or if you have a guilty conscience about "borrowing" music, iTunes Music Store.
Torrents for me.
I download to have a listen to decide whether to buy or not, then delete straight away.......
I'm listening to Weird Al Yankovic's latest album.
Not only is it "novelty" music, but the music is actually pretty good.
The first track, White & Nerdyis rap. The second, Pancreas, has a Beach Boys type sound. Canadian Idiotis to the tune of American Idiot. I'll Sue Ya has a Rage Against the Machine sort of sound. Then there's the Polka medley of songs by artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Pussycat Dolls, 50 Cent, Kayne West, Snoop Dogg, The Killers and Gorillaz. Close But No Cigarsounds like a Cake song. There's a few more tracks on there, but it finishes with the ironic Don't Download This Song.
Hmmm, I think I might "obtain" his back catalogue.
Caught by Bryan Adams live at Slane Castle dvd lately. Bryan on bass, a guitarist and drummer. That's all. And the 3 piece band rocks.
And I hate to say it. But Rob will own whatever cd dean from idol releases and I won't complain. Probably the most complete package from and idol contestant and potential to knock Shannon Noll off his perch. I'm actually looking forward to his performances, back flips and all.
Now to get slammed...............................
I have that DVD too. It's pretty good. I was never fussed on Bryan Adams until I saw him live in Cairns. Wow! What a performance. This guy is talented and a great entertainer.Originally Posted by goughy

IMO, his vocals aren't up to the same standard as some of the other contestants. I only hope that when he does release an album, he does some music a little more edgier than what he has done on the show.Originally Posted by goughy

I agree on the vocal side of things. But he's a better singer than shanon noll and look where he is. But there's more to being an entertainer than being the best singer. Often the person up front isn't a patch on the backing singers supporting them. But there's a reason they're up front. Take Bryan Adams for example. Good singer, but not the greatest around. Still one of the biggest entertainers in the world.
But I'll hazzard a guess that Dean (good name eh) will be the most successfull of this idol group - personally I think he could give Noll a run for his money. Don't forget; when Noll was on idol he had the worst voice of the group, little to no stage presence - he couldn't even move. Look what happened to him.
And the live and slane castle dvd should also prove to you that vocals can have nothing to do with it. How abot the duet with Mel C. I've heard better sounds at a midnight cat fight. But she's still rich.
Meh. Spice Girls. Don't go there...
They were one of the most successful groups of the 90's and pretty much none of them can sing. Scary eh.
I think a young guy with sex appeal (robyn drools when she sees him ), a pretty good voice (which is getting better), has stage presence, can play to the audience and command the camera's at the same time is gonna come close to winning this. I'll say top 2. He is also showing the most growth of the group and takes note of what the judges tell him (don't know if this is always a good idea).
He'll come close to winning it, but will be the next success story since shannon noll.
The people who bought Spice Girls albums must be the same who voted for Casey Donovan.Originally Posted by goughy
Mybe not the spice girls, but maybe scary spices album. Rumour has it that the solo album she released sold a total of about 700 copies world wide.
Anthony Callea had a successful first album, and hasn't released a second one yet.Originally Posted by goughy

Obviously her sound doesn't suit you. I'm sure she would have sold a lot more than that.Rumour has it that the solo album she released sold a total of about 700 copies world wide.
Actually she didn't. It's legitimate and a trivia question. Was also reported in a special article about the spice girls which appeared in the courier mail for their 10th aniversary. And I'm sure it was less than 700.
Looked up wiki. It sold 7400 copies in it's first week then pretty much dropped off the planet. Was dropped by her record company.
Anthoney's album was successful of a fashion, but no shannon noll.
well i'll be able to tell you just how good/crap shannon noll is after saturday night as he is the support act for the concert i am going to see.......
The biggest decision..... do i drink at home and rock up after the support act...... or get to the venue in time to see the support act but use the time effectively and drink/eat in the foyer.... hmmmm decisions, decisions.
