Yoss, heads up if you haven't heard, Sufjan Stevens set to play Red Hill Ampitheatre in March. He is a phenomenal live performer, highly recommend it.

Should be so good. Is that a good venue in Sydney?I notice huge gaps between cities, thinking he will end up playing multiple shows in Sydney and Melbourne? If so I am tempted to fly across for a weekend show. A friend saw the new show in London last week and said it was mind blowing.

State Theatre in Sydney - doesn't have the accoustics of the Opera House but it is a pretty great venue

After giving this guy a bit of a spin today, I might be in too. Let me know if you are getting tickets.

Casamir Pulaski Day came on my internet radio again this evening and instantly boosted my mood, which wasn't down to begin with, even though the song is quite sad.

    Has he done Taylor Swift?

I could see him doing justice to Shake It Off.

He has indeed. It is quite different to T-swizzle's pop version (which has been a guilty pleasure, partly because little miss almost 3 loves 'Shake it off' and partly because it's a damn catchy pop album).

Pretty well classic Maiden. There one song'empire of the clouds' goes for 18 minutes!!!!!! Bruce plays piano at start and through the track.you would think Delta Goodram was banging on the keys.Book of Souls, death or Glory, if eternity should fail are typical 4/4 tempo. Taken a few listens to pick it up, but I'm Maiden to the core, so I like all their albums, except where Blaze was singer. Don't get me wrong I bought those albums too, obviously gives the band a different sound.

Download spotify for a free download of the album, you won't go wrong.

Listened to The Avalanches Since I Left You on headphones for the first time ever. I've always liked it but it is 200 times better with the phones.

Thought it was time to take advantage of my google music subscription. Gave Miami Horror another couple of proper listens. Still not my cup of tea, though I didn't mind the odd track. Is it just me or is it an album designed to flow from song to song? Felt like if I'd had it on shuffle that it wouldn't have been right.

To make Jarro happy I've had my first taste of Rush. Listened to Moving Pictures and 2112. I can see why drummers thronged to them, though Pearts playing on those isn't the type that grabs me (sorry Jarro ).

Really liked Billy Breathes by Phish. Been meaning to check them out for about 20 years, funny enough after reading an article about the drummer where he was wearing a moo moo while performing! I'll be grabbing more of them (and I won't be wearing a moo moo at tomorrow's gig)

Next on the list is Dream Theatre, Tribal Tech and The Brecker Brothers, and then some Ornette Coleman and Thelonious Monk. I've got a Monk and Coltrane album which is just fantastic.

Anyone got anything interesting they can suggest I give a gander?

It flows from last track to first track also, if you have it on loop.
