This one for the prog. nerds
One of my heroes Bill Bruford (drummer of King Crimson, Yes, Genesis for a short time + others) has launched a youtube channel, thought this performance was something pretty special. Excuse the poor video, VHS at its worst.
Big fan of these guys in the 80's, this came out in 2017
Something i never thought I would ever do... go see brian Mannix live again ( first was 1985), Jokes still suck.
Was the Absolute 80s band Made in Australia tour. The last 4 songs when all the singers were together was worth the price of the ticket. Good Time Tonight, Dont Change, Out of mind out of sight, and Dont go out in the Rain.
This Youtube set by electronic artist Elderbrook is getting repeat plays from me at the moment. It is filmed in an aquarium, and I just love the energy of the guy in his sets, especially straight out of the blocks on this one.
With life throwing me a few curve balls I’ve found myself going back and listening to all the music (CD’s) that I was listening to back during much happier times.
Speaking of old music, I watched a show on Apple made by some New Zealand guy, known for making movies about little people, showing a 60s band rehearsing and trying to write an album. It was pretty cool, so searched out and listened to their whole catalogue, and they are quite the find, especially the later albums before they broke up.
Seriously, you've never heard of The Rolling Stones???

I am not a great fan of the Rap/Hip Hop genres, but two SA acts do it better than most;
And a new Metallica single!
And yet another Rap artist, though that way under sells what Ren does. He has had a very strong presence on social media in recent months and he just keeps churning it out. No record contract but charting nevertheless;
Kinda feel bad that I've added to his "watched" count. Not for me.

I really only listen to 80's music and have a lot of fave bands but I was never into Depeche Mode, recently found this and love it.
Gaz; have a good listen to Violator, my pick of the Depeche Mode albums.

I've got a much more diverse range of taste than you clearly - I listened to a song from 1979 recently and it actually wasn't too bad ...
Anyway, I am going through a Lloyd Cole and the Commotions phase. Don't think that they had many 'hits' in Australia, but they have a remarkably consistent repertoire of songs with great lyrics if you listen.

Really liking cranking out White Stripes when out for regional drives atm.
16yr little Miss Hatch is really into them too and has started self learning/teaching to play some of their track on electric Guitar.
