    Shihad - Beautiful Machine.

Absolute standout for me. I was expecting something else, but was pleasantly surprised.

Did anyone check out the Nick Cave exhibit when it was in their neck of the woods?

It is quite good. A lot of interesting stuff. Bloody talented guy, even if you don't love the music. Some anecdotes about recording with Johnny Cash were great.

In light of that, have been enjoying:

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: Abattoir Blues (highlight: Let The Bells Ring)
The Lyre Of Orpheus (highlight: Supernaturally)
    Nocturama

    Also,

Shearwater: Palo Santo (highlights: La Dame Et La Lincorne and Seventy-Four, Seventy-five)

DMB new one, Groogrux King is getting a bit of rotation. I would say this album is better than I first thought. A return to form. The production is a bit shiny, so need to look past that.

I must admit I love Corduroy. Awesome song and one of the highlights in their catalogue after Ten for me.

I have been pondering my own top 10 list and will probably post one up here soon, though it will likely be a work in progress, just like the top 10 albums for a desert island was.
Corduroy is a great track. My fav off the album remains Immortality.

Is the exhibit still around? I'm still upset that I have seen him live, but didn't know who he was at the time. Still an awesome show.

Immortality is another great track. I would agree, top 2 on that album.

Exhibit is on for 3 more weeks, WA Museum, free entry, open 7 days. I can guarantee you will like it. You seem as though you would appreciate the detail and the way he creates music and writing.

I downloaded some Regina Spektor and realised I have heard her stuff before, I just didn't know it was her. Good stuff by the sounds.

Heard a grizzly bear single on JJJ today, sounds awesome.

    Also danananakroyd, sounded very promising.

Both Grizzly Bear albums are good. As is the off shoot project, In Ear Park by Department of Eagles.

Grab the new Grizzly album, you'll like it.

Michael Jackson - Thriller/Off The Wall.

For all his weirdness, the gloved one sure knows how to write a good tune.

You Know Me Better (from the Future Pop album) is what made me follow the album up. That Future Pop album has some really good tracks.

Agreed. There a few 'hidden gems' which I had bever heard of, including Roisin's track (I've been a Moloko/ Roisin fan ever since hearing 'The Time Is Now').

Have to admit I have Michael Jackson playing today. Sad Day but also a good day too as it brings back the days of 6th class and 1st form at high school. I can remember the days of the pink shirts then. Will definitely be in a pink shirt on Monday for work.
