Not saying that it's a bad thing, but it's getting old.

When I heard a Jay Z / Kanye song on the radio yesterday, the first thing I thought was that they had outdone themselves on the number of mentions of money.

Cheers for that. I should kill you for likening the DRA to John Mayer, but I will let it slide this time.
If you want a laugh, Ryan Adams' track for track acoustic reproduction of Vampire Weekends self titled album is good value.

I have heard it is..... waiting for a mate to pass it on to me. Good to hear.

My fave albums of the past few weeks remain: Beirut: The Rip Tide and Youth Lagoon: Year of Hibernation.

to be fair to Mr Adams i haven't really checked out his stuff.
local natives was a good tip adlo, reminded me of the foals which is a positive

also got around to checking out Gayngs another Justin Veron side project

noticed some funny jokes in the comments of a vid i was checking out
How many hipsters does it take to screw in a lightbulb? It's a really obscure number, you've probably never heard of it.
why did the hipster burn his mouth? he ate the pizza before it was cool.

Anything making fun of hipsters is all good in my books.

Eldrick, grab Heartbreaker. Just do it. You will like it.

Local Natives are superb. If you get a chance to see them live, take it. Mind blowing.
I take it you are a fan of The National?

What are your thoughts on Gayngs? I found it a bit ho-hum.
I am still loving Bon Iver, Bon Iver FWIW. One of the years best.

Honestly... if you like Foals, Bon Iver, Local Natives, Sufjan etc etc... we are on the same page. The National grow on you. A LOT. They are the best band in the world IMO. Grab Boxer and listen to it 10 times. You will thank me. Alligator is excellent, but High Violet and Boxer are absolute stand outs. I must have listened to High Violet 50 times before it really dawned on me how amazing it is.

Yeah, the lack of highlights in Gayngs made me struggle with it. I throw it on from time to time, but can't really dive into it.

Bon Iver.... the first half particularly. Special stuff.
