    I just don't get the mystique they have. I can see why at the time they were so big, and why some of their songs move people.
    However their songs, and admittedly I have only heard a portion of their catalogue, don't do it for me.
    I'm not being deliberately contrary, just my opinion.
    I don't hate listening to the Beatles but I wouldn't seek them out.

    Something?
    Long and Winding Road?
    Here Comes the Sun?
    Strawberry Fields Forever?
    A day in the Life?

    Amazing tunes.

    I agree to an extent about their bubblegum pop tunes. Fun to listen to, but not much substance, but the above songs are indescribably good... in my opinion.

    I remember the bass player from Everclear was a huge Dreamtheatre fan, but for some reason I could never be arsed looking into them.

    Well, they draw from the older prog bands like Yes/Rush/King Crimson .. bands like that.

    Look at the link in my signature and check out the songs there on youtube.

    I settled on my Top 10 for Hottest 100 voting:

    * Neighbourhood #2 (Laika) - Arcade Fire
    * Waltz #2 - Elliott Smith
    * Come As You Are - Nirvana
    * Corduroy - Pearl Jam
    * Gouge Away - Pixies
    * This Mess We're In - PJ Harvey & Thom Yorke
    * New Race - Radio Birdman
    * How To Disappear Completely - Radiohead
    * Staring At The Sun - TV On The Radio
    * Breathe Me (Fourtet Remix) - Sia

    Pretty happy with it. I'll be surprised if many (or any besides Nirvana) get in though...

    Change of Radiohead song??

    I must admit I love Corduroy. Awesome song and one of the highlights in their catalogue after Ten for me.

    I have been pondering my own top 10 list and will probably post one up here soon, though it will likely be a work in progress, just like the top 10 albums for a desert island was.

    The version of corduroy from the "on two legs" live album is awesome.

    I listened to Kid A and Amnesiac the other day and fell in love with 'How To Disappear Completely' all over again...might be a passing fad, but who can come up with a definite list of your favourite 10 songs any way? Almost substituted it for "You and Who's Army?" as well...

    That's the thing, thinking about my list now and most of it would be amazing songs I have heard in the past year.

    Jarro, if I had to pick a favourite track from 3 Sides, it would probably be Rest In Peace.

    The best track for me off this album would be Hip Today, but the album was played a lot less than the others.

    The other being Pornograffitti. I really like this one too, with more of the glam guitar rock. Get The Funk Out gets the nod for the best track. The only song I can't get into is When I First Kissed You. What were they thinking putting this on the album? It just doesn't belong.

    I haven't had a good listen to their original self-titled album or 2008's Saudades de Rock yet, but they sound okay so far.

    I don't think there are some really weak tracks at all. To me, it is a really consistent album, but it lacks really good songs, which is what Cut Copy have. I definitely liked it though. It Could Be The Same and Talkin' are my faves.

    Rock Steady - No Doubt
    Return of Saturn - No Doubt
    I grabbed the rest of the No Doubt discography too, but haven't got to them yet.
    I liked all of Rock Steady (which included a collaboration with Prince that I didn't know about), while Return of Saturn didn't do it for me at all, except for the tracks that were hits.

    ..and by popular demand, OK Computer - Radiohead
    I had a lie down with the Ipod and gave it a listen (although I didn't get all the way through), and I can appreciate that it sounds better (except for Fitter Happier which will always be crap), but I'm never going to listen to music on my bed, so I guess it's not really for me. I do still like the better known tracks from the album though (Paranoid Android, Karma Police, No Surprises).

    Eon - Grafton Primary
    LadyHawke - LadyHawke
    PNAU - PNAU

    Has anyone bought the Collectors or Limited Editions of Pablo, Bends or OK? The Collectors edition has a bonus CD and DVD, Limited just a bonus disc. Worth buying (again)?
