Anyone that played a round with Lagerlover should have this covered.....

I played a round with the above mentioned ex-member, and he hit a least one hosel rocket on every single hole we played.... And on few holes it was more than one.... way too hard to pick a highlight from them all, but there was some gems among them. It was painful to watch, and the at the end the big unit needed a hug.

I think I had a shank in the game I played with TimInSA at Portland. Can't quite remember.

I played that day and remember it all too well. It was painful for us all. The next round he played, he didn't hit one. Go figure!

Rocked up to the practice range on saturday right next to our President, proceeded to fire 4 in a row straight into the steel cart sheds. Out comes the Vice Captain who was in the shed getting his golf cart, he abused (jokingly) the President as it scared the shit out of him, El presdente is known for socket rockets.........funny as.
After the game the Preso comes over to pay/collect his 20c and when he heard i had 38 pts he didn't believe me due to my morning form. Never had one all day thank god !!!!

I was playing Gailes and a guy in our group off 5 hcp was 3 under walking off the 10th. He was chuffed about it as he had told me on the turn how he had been struggling with his game. We were waiting near the 11th tee when a ball overshot the 17th green and took one bounce before smashing into his tool bag. He went down and stayed down and had to retire, funny stuff.

I hit a ripping shank some years back at Cairns playing with Haysey, Solarman & Tomson. Normally shanks stay pretty low, but this one cleared the adjacent tree line and sailed into the bushes on the other side of the next hole over. If it wasn't more than 60 degrees offline, it coud have been called a good shot.

I shanked an entire bucket of balls with my new irons a few years ago. I guess the swingweight was a little different or something like that, but I just couldn't hit the middle. It was funny as, and a little bit depressing given that I was all excited about my first set of new sticks in over 10 years. Towards the end of it I pulled out my old seven iron out of desperation and striped one down the middle, then I swapped back and shanked the rest of them with my new 7.

I forgot about that one.... To be fair, it hit more groove, than shaft.

shavey hit a ripper on the 5th at Windaroo a couple of weeks ago in our matchplay. He managed to get it to carry to the OOB fence and curve gracefully around one of the McMansions and never be seen again. It was a super socket, almost a slice-shank. Got lots of metal on it. Funny and scary to watch at the same time.

I had a dozen or more shanks in my match against Westy at Wynnum years ago. Horrible day. Wanted to impale myself.

Put my tee shot just short of the 10th at Mount Broughton at a NSW vs ACT match, and shanked a SW pin-high and right of the green.

I go over to play another SW, with Grunt, Wbennett and TG01 are standing at the back of the green, 45* to my line. Benno says 'We better move, this is Dotty's firing line.'

    They moved. He was right.

Most people want to impale themselves when they play me.

Eags had a shankfest in matchplay against me at Bribie one year. Felt like he just about circumnavigated one green.

    Hocko... Oz golf champs.

After reeling off 36 points through 17, coming up Index 1 into the teeth of a 4 club gale, driver 3 wood and left with 60 for an easy 5/2 and clubhouse lead by 4.

Gallery watching, hosel rocket into the piss...

    Sorry Hocko!

I still remember his shank at Araluen and you worshipping it.

Mine into a quarry wall at Joondy after calling you a shanker was pretty good too.

I've been known to shank a wedge consecutively on the odd occasion.
