Males have shanks from bunkers all the time. The scratch marker I played with had one too.

If it's good enough for a scratch marker....

Tried to hit a low 7 iron into a 3 club wind on a 125m par 3. Ended up 100m away at 45* to intended target.

That actually reminds me , I had a glorious one on last Sunday on my last hole in the scramble regional finals , we had about a 30m pitch into the green after I bombed it ... 45 degree right into the piss! pretty much summed up my day!

    Default Shanks by OZgolfers

This one was a good one. Big push 3 wood into the trees on the left, leaving me about 130 in. Had to just slide past the 10th tee, keeping a 3 iron around nipple height at most. One of the blokes on the tee had left his bag in the way so I asked him to move it. He was also kind enough to remove the wheelie bin in the way as well. They moved onto the 10th tee to watch the shot, about 40m away.

This shank came out hot and low, and had them scattering on the tee. Went between them at shin height.

Had one on the 12th at Headland GC on Wednesday. Nice 5 iron lay up, then flushed a 6 iron straight off the hosel into the trees on the right. Awesome.

    All with Cleveland wedges?
They were my undoing. They would build my confidence up, then whammo!

I could even hear the other two sniggering in the bag, as I slammed their cousin into the ground.

Yeah, I have donated enough balls to the dam on that hole. And am usually only hitting 7-9 iron in with an iron off the tee.

Tiger Ham had one that was almost jug tastic on 4.

Bergesy had one on 12 and maybe one out of a bunker?
