Had a beauty on Sunday in Rnd 2 of our Mt Lawley Classic (our major Open Comp). A full PW on Index 18 (122m downhill Par 3) that went 40m right and going further right into deep rough behind our 7th tee. An absolute rocket. It would probably have gone 80-90m if there wasn't boonge there to stop it. Scared the crap out of the guys on the tee as well.

Found it, hit full LW out into rough, good flop onto green from strong downhill lie, missed straight uphill putt from 15ft. Tap in 5.

    MegaWatty lives!!!

    Hello, hello

#1. Good drive on fairway on 2. Left with 9iron from 121m in. Massive pice of the hosel heading hard right for the OOB dam but tree saved it from going out. Fat the next way short and make 1 putt bogey.

#2. 70m to go for second shot over a small bush off dirt and sticks on 17. Easy bunt 8iron chosen for the shot. Only a little bit of hosel this time resulting in ball running along the ground off at 25. Fat the chip and have to chip again for a 1 putt bogey.

    Played Windaroo good friday,

2nd hole 150 out 7 iron straight into tree approx 70 right which then stopped me from going OB, 58* over bunker to tight pin position 1 putt par thank you very much,

12th hole par 5 205 out of heavy rough, 3 iron travelled 150 forward and approx 80 right into trees, flumbed 8 iron under branches to 40 mts short and then easy up and down for another par from a shank, happy days

    Hello.
Have added another shot I've never played before to the arsenal "The fat shank".

Straight forward knock down 6iron from 132m. Caught it fat with a bit of hosel and got a canon further right off a tree trunk.

I too have added a new shot to the repertoire; the 'G spot shank'. Never ever shanked a driver before..

Try the water bottle drill they said..

    It'll be fun, they said..

I am doing my Qld Champs duty by posting here. Fortunately I don't need to post in any of the other Hall of Shame threads.

5th fairway at Noosa Springs. Right in the middle, 102m out, perfect wedge. I'm running hot, having put my short iron approaches within 10 feet on 2, 3, and 4 (and missing each birdie putt). The result was a total rocket to the middle of the water on the right. Wipe, and the start of bad downhill slide.

Others had more during the weekend, but none had a worse one than this one.

Wow, you have described my shank on 5th Noosa Springs to a tee.

    Let me help with that...

Final round of WAnker Champs. Hit a 3w off the 13th tee and was just off the fairway on the left in some light rough. Straight forward 7 iron from 153m for the centre of the green...BOOM! One of my best hosels EVER. 50* right and bending further. Ended up in the trees and almost on the other adjoining hole. Had 123m to the centre of the green but no line to the flag.

I hit a 9i punch and run up onto the left side of the green. About as good as I could get. Then 3 stabbed it for a 6
