I think a day of heavy constant rain and deciding to give golf a miss today may have saved me adding to the count.
Booked the simulator at the Club for an hour and got 2 1/2 hours as no one else was waiting/booked to use it.
No shanks with any irons hit but very nervous over the first few.

That one seems a little inconvenient.

I witnessed it. Quality 45 degree shank with good distance. The best bit was when 3PP exclaimed "I shanked that!" and Siri on his phone heard it and said "I don't know what that means".

She should. So much for her learning things.

    Default Shanks by OZgolfers

I don't report all of my shanks in here or else it would get a bit spammy. I do try to post some of those that really screw me over.

    Today's effort
    1. 232m drive down the fairway leaving a 50m wedge in.
    2. Shank, not into the more convenient greenside bunker, but the bunker that will need a 25m plus carry to the green.
    3. Knife over the green.
    4. Chip.
    5. Putt.

Do ground shanks count? I had one today that I made good contact with but due to a shitty lie the ball hit ground just in front of it and squirted off to the right into the bush/hazard.

Only contact with the hosel counts.

Had a lesson a few weeks back as my game was getting really bad. Highlighted a lot of issues but in trying to fix them I am now good for a couple of shanks per round. Had 3 today which is about the average. Pennant tomorrow so see how many I have. Do t stand on my right!!!

I shanked a 9 iron on the par 3 7th at Oxley today. It was going ob until a tree got in the way. Got the next one proper, par putt lipped out 🤦🏻

Playing from, and heading to, a lovely 9 iron shankola in the CoC a month or so ago.

Missed the 6 foot par putt, of course.

I am in the middle of an unheard of 12 month purple patch of shank-free golf.

Somewhat related: It has also been 12 months since I played a round of golf.

Been playing average lately, so thought a quick range tune up would be the trick.

15 in a row on full shots and a very significant increase to the "in a row" statistic.

Wish I was less frustrated to get a photo of the top tracer screen.

Lots of OzGolfers not fessing up to the joy only a hosel rocket can give.
This thread was so far down list.

Slight tickle of the hosel with a 6 iron on a par 3 into a strong wind. Not what I want on day 1 of a 5 day golf trip.
