Had an almost on 2, a near miss on 4 and then a dead set sherman tank on 5 today. Middle of fairway, 9 iron went 45* with a nice fade into middle of hazard. Had a wipe. Fek!

Got up on the tee of our par 3 6th today 160m slightly up hill when I was standing behind the ball I visualized a shank that I hit off the same tee some weeks back into the trees. I address the ball and sure enough straight out of the socket into a tree 30m in front then into the water.

Joking around on the range yesterday, I Shermanned one. We all laughed until the guy beside me got a case of them immediately after. He blamed me. Perfect start to club champs.

No mate they have been there for years every now and then they rear their ugly head. In retrospect it was rather funny how the ball hit the tree then went sideways into the water

Not an ozgolfer but I did nearly get cleaned up by a playing partner's sherman this morning. Even more dangerous when you consider the fog it came hurtling out of towards me.

I'm in fine form, been averaging around 2 a round, it's always that last beer that gets me the night before.

I played in the scramble at palm meadows on Saturday. Loved the format, I got off the tee 7 times = rewarded with not having to hit approach shots.... still snuck 3 "not quite middled" shots away.

I'm "helping" a mate of mine tomorrow with his traineeship. He needs a student for his "give a chopper a lesson" module....the right thing to do would be to ring in sick...

I thought they were free because the quantity produced far outweighs demand.
