I’ve been occasionally hitting the hosel on 20-40 yard pitch shots. Most of the time my pitch shots hit a bit towards the toe so I don’t know where these came from. 😏

I've been firing off a few of late. Had 3 today ... Every one straight into the sh*t, it's getting costly.
I even managed to imprint the 8i hosel with a perfect print of my Sharpie Pen ball marking, impressive.
They've come out of nowhere a week out from the club champs stroke event ... dear god !

checking in!
RA #3, found the dune on the right hand side (a popular spot for me!) had a 56 degree wedge on a severe downslope with the ball well below my feet only and buried the hosel into the back of the ball, managed to miss Marcel by about 3 metres, ended up with another bad lie resulting in an inevitable wipe for the hole

Definitely one today, GW from 80m out fired off at 45* right in to the trees.
After that 2x 8 iron, 1x 9 iron and 7 iron too but some of them seemed to be more off the toe - had lost interest by then so didn't look in to it too much. Put it this way NO-ONE was game to wander ahead off to my right during the bulk of the round! Stupid game ............. guess I need to get out there more.

Whoops, should've checked in for mine a fortnight ago at pennant.
65m in, ball about 6 inches above my feet, had to flop it over a 4m tree about 15m in front of me. "Easy 58°, piece of piss!!!", I thought.
I could see my ball nestled deeply in the shiny leaf, but be ****ed if I was going in to get it.
"Your hole, buddy!"

Went back 2 back yesterday. First one was from 71m in the middle of the fairway that ended up pin high but 55m right. Second one ended up back of the green and a perfect view of from where the first one was played from.

Check in for one at the Reddy Bay back marker.
Stupid 15th hole, hit a fantastic drive that still had no clear look at the green (stupid hole design). Figured a little spinny punch 8i under the tree would be delightful...
The rest, they say, is history. And the ball was OB.

Too much spinny on the punch.

How is it a fantastic drive if you can’t see the green for your 2nd?

I couldn't hit it any better, or longer, or straighter to middle fairway. 50m from the flag but still had no decent shot to the green.
There was no line I could hit with my longest drive to have a clear shot at the green.

If you can’t see the fag from 50m away I’d suggest “fantastic” is a bit optimistic.

If it's the best drive I have hit in 12 months, I'd call it fantastic.

I think with the use of fantastic and optimistic, we've seen the fag here quite easily.

I'm checking in for the first time in quite a while, with a really meaty one off the 17th tee today. I had decided a few holes earlier to change my swing path a bit, to go more upright, and this was the first iron I hit using the method. I now remember why I abandoned the more upright theory.
From an impossible position I made the world's best bogey, but that is no consolation really.

Bunker shanks and flop shot shanks are also right up there.
I don't always hit my greenside flop shots 60m, but when I do, they go 45 degrees right.
