Don't do that, your action is fine as it is. If there is an issue it may be in your intent during the downswing and forward swing, aiming at the ball rather than trying to hit the ball from the inside. With the longer shafted clubs it is really important to aim at a line through the ball from the inside. This is the plane line of the downswing which is inside the backswing plane line. I could see from your follow through on the driver swing shot that the arms and club shaft had flattened which means that the clubhead was more on its backswing plane (a line through the back of the ball) than on the correct forward swing plane.

Thanks Raz, thats a nice anaology.
Yes, i obviously want to come more from the inside hence why my coach has placed the ball on the mat to make me come inside it on the downswing.
I need alot of work, i didnt have a lesson when this swing was recorded, he was just on the range and saw me breifly.
I need more lesson time....thats for sure!

    Yep, high right.

Of the 10 holes I hit driver on I hit 2 fairways.
Of the other 8, 3 where on par 5's which I was able punch out/advance the ball , the others I was dead.
    It's bordering on embarrassment now.
The last 2 holes I set up for a big draw/hook and it struck it heaps better.
On the last hole I smoked it, slight draw , 250m laser end back to the guys on the tee (Gammon witnessed it even he was impressed)
I think I'll just set up for a big draw from now on, it obviously gets me coming from the inside better?

Your high cuts you end up with your weight on the back foot. Your swing and timing is great, you just need to transfer the weight.

No way its in your head! Check the basics grip stance get parallel to the target line. Then Its easy just swing the club back about knee height, turn to the top and then hit it ~@#$in hard. Hold the follow to the ball lands. Repeat and adjust if needed! Gave a fair few lessons using this methodology no wonder I farm sheep these days!
