    Default Club Champs

So I searched and couldn't find anything.

Just wondering when everyone has club champs and how they are run either over 4 weekends or two weekends.

Pine Rivers is starting this weekend over 4 Saturdays and then top 8 play matchplay! In the past we had them later in the year but they have been bought forward this year.

    So anoyone preparing for champs?

Not yet, ours are in August. Played over 4 weekends with matchplay after that.

My club's champs are in November if I remember correctly. Never played in them, and not this year either

Mareeba. Mid June. 4 rounds of stroke over 2 weekends.

I might play this year for the first time in I can't remember. I'm a realistic chance of winning this for once.

This is a great format. I wish we did it that way.

Port Fairy ran them that way when I was a member there. Absolutely brilliant. Portland where I am now runs sat / sun qualifying then top 8 match play. Qual rounds were 3rd / 4th March with final played two weekends ago.

Not till September. The club has decided to play four straight Saturdays, supposedly due to a push from a churchie on the committee. I seriously doubt I'll play.

Tenterfield was played over 2 weekends a month or so ago. I have only played one club champs at Nudgee and I am willing to take sport that seriously at a professional level but 4 rounds of heightened willy slapping for nothing but a name on a board is not my scene.

We've got 4 straight Saturdays in June. The kids have sport in the morn, so as much as I would like to play, it's very doubtful.

Matchplay champs are separate. I think the two qual rounds to make top 8 are mid-July. Once again they are consecutive Saturdays.

City gc's used to be early in the year I remember, about March, over two full weekends and then the matchplay from that, which I remember being on consecutive Sunday mornings. Could never do 2 full weekend in a row.

4 straight Saturdays in October. Stroke only. Kids winter sports all finished and ozgolf champs now in September, I should be right to play this year.

Ours finish tomorrow, 4 Saturdays in a row with top eight in each grade qualifying for Matchplay Championship.
Currently in 9th position, one stroke behind eighth place.

We alternate between match play and stroke play each year. This year is matchplay, 2 qualifying rounds, top 8 qualify and then 36 holes of matchplay on consecutive Saturdays.

The 36 holes part blows me out of the water, wife would have a major hissy fit if I tried to do that!

Sat, Sun, Sat, Sun for graded strokeplay champ played in Sept/Oct. The top 8 overall then play matchplay for the club champion title.

There's a separate, graded matchplay championshiop in Mar/Apr. They use the March monthly medal as qualifier, then play matches on the next 3 Saturdays. This is the one to win I reckon!

    Mine is identical to Ronny's.
We have the last 9 groups of the final round for seeded players, in what I am assuming 2 groups for each A, B, C, D and the gals.
Fingers crossed I am hitting off very late that last weekend
