I don't have a regular partner, so i rock up to play with whoever turns up on the day. We've got the old guy who once played to single-figures right-handed, and about double that left-handed, the deaf kid who smashes it a million miles, the middle-aged putz, but yesterday, it was the Father-Son.
Dad wants junior to play golf. Great concept, the inherent problem is that they skipped the "Ettiquette" phase and went straight to hitting the ball. Unfortunately, Dad doesn't have the graces that ettiquette requires either.
Can't blame the young bloke, probably didn't want to be there. Playing off 25 at the moment, but every time he sliced the ball (every shot), his old man would come out with "DID YOU CHECK WHERE YOU WERE AIMING?"
Practice swings as you took your shot.... marching blindly up parallel fairways oblivious to oncoming groups playing that hole... treading all over putting lines (and other green-misdemenours)... talking during our shots/putts... persistant coaching around the course...
