    Default Gold Coast golf trip

Need some suggestions from all the QLDers, planning to go to the gold coast for 5 days playing 4 course, we definitely want to play Brookwaters, heard it was an absolute must.

As for the other three we planning to just stick around GC, I short listed some, not knowing what they are like, only seen pictures on their website:

    - Brookwaters GC (Brisbane)

    - Royal Pines GC (Gold coast)
    - Glades GC (Gold coast)
    - Palm Meadows GC (Gold coast)

    Ozgolfer recommendations:

    - Robina
    - Lakelands
    - Hope Island

Are they good choices? or are there other ones that you guys highly recommend?

Also how is the weather in July?

I'd put Robina Woods in the mix, the three Gold Coast courses your have listed are all a bit similar. July, well usually clear warm days, cool at night.

Robina and Lakelands are both worth a look IMO.

Brooky is in Ipswich. in July, don't play early as it gets quite cold.

Hope Island is my favourite gc track, followed by Palm Meadows but i don't know what shape its in now.

Check out ISG, they quite often have discount deals at most of the Gold Coast Courses.

The Grand is the shit on the Goldie! Only if you can find a member to play with. Otherwise, Sanctuary Cove is a close second.

You would be better off going somewhere else, but if you really have to just cross Royal Pines and Colonial off your list.

    Not really. Haha.
I think there's better value out there too.

Glades is in great nick and if you let me know i might be able to get a 2 for one deal for you.

    I would go
    Hope Island
    Glades
    Robina

    In that order.

Have played the grand a few times, I found it a bit boring and a few of the other courses listed are in better nick.

In terms of quality, Hope Island is the best of the ones you listed, pricey though. I like the Glades a lot, looks a bit similar to others, but quality of holes is noticeably better. Robina Woods is worthwhile and a different style of course to the others. Palm Meadows is a great layout, just not in superb nick anymore, but still quite acceptable. Will be the value course along with Robina. You could always play Colonial to see all the supposed water trouble that GCG/iGolf found when he played there. But that would probably be the only reason to play it, it is very same, same. Have not played the new Sanctuary Cove course as yet to rate it. Lakelands is considered to be a quality course, but I struggle to remember any holes there. Brookwater is worth the drive imo.

Colonial is the worst of the bunch in my opinion ... and the only reason to play Royal Pines is to compare your scores with the ladies.

Hope Island if you can afford it .... it's awesome.

    Brookwater
    Robina
    Lakelands
    Glades

    In that order ....

Or even Santuary Cove ... I havent played the new layout though ..

You'll be unlucky to get rain at that time ....

Haven't been to hope island or The Glades although I hear really good things about both, I have played Lakelands, Robina Woods, Palm Meadows, The Colonial with Lakelands and Robina(dont remember in great detail, i was mega seedy) coming in before the other two. Another course I have heard alot about but really cant vouch for and would like some feedback on is Arundel Country Club, one bloke even said its one of the best on the coast, any truth behind this guys?

The Grand is not worth the effort. its a short boring little retirement paddock for old snobs.

Ok if this is my list I would need to cut one, probably between Robina and Lakelands, any advice? But so tempting to play Royal Pines since we can play 27 holes :P maybe we can do two course a day, but our arms will probably fall off thou...

    Hope Island
    Brookwater
    Robina
    Lakelands
    Glades

I would drop Lakelands in that list then you would have a pretty good mix
