This article today lists Tiger as the #1 paid sportsman in the world at the moment. Taking into account all prize money, endorsements etc he is worth around 78 mill a year apparently.

Mayweather tops Tiger from all reports. He's set to pull in 90mill this year after signing his 40mill deal a few weeks ago. I wouldnt mind either sum..

I think tiger will top 90 mill this year as he made 86.1 mill last year and it has only gotten higher each year.

Since 1996 his total earnings has only increased each year until 2010 when he had this personal dramas but since 2011 it has only increased again I think since he seems to have his life back on track. Total career earnings 1.23 Billion! Wow...

Ingenious for Nike to keep him on. Leading the way for new sponsors to splash some cash

Actually in one of the articles I read in a business magazine they were critical of Nike because apparently they had the chance to lock him up cheaper in 2011/2012 but they chose to wait it out and see if his career would keep nosediving, expensive call... Don't you think?

    Not at all.
They may have to pay more now but will be recovering it back easily.

They'll make it back alright, but it's still going to cost them possibly $10-20 million a year more than what it could have cost them?

And if he failed upon come back they'd be making bugger all. It's all relative.

It's only relative if his contract size is directly related to revenue which it isn't.
