In Tiger’s favour is the fact that he was operated on quickly, and clearly by the best people money can buy. Things have progressed a lot from when Hogan was injured.

I did a fellowship in the US back in 2013 and spent some time at Cedars-Sinai in LA. The facilities were pretty amazing (so long as you had the cash, which is an awful but general summary of US healthcare overall).

Just heard on 8am news that LA cops are looking at whether he was using his phone just before the crash.

The police announced there wouldn't be any charges as it was just an accident.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Imagine the media frenzy if he pulled off a Win like Hogan did after his bad accident.

If it blows a gale at St Andrews I would mark him as one of the favourites; he plays that course better than anyone

Is he playing us? Like, I see him making full ‘wood’ swings. Surely that means he’s still got something left in the tank…

Charlie really is amazing. Tiger 2 perhaps? I'd be worried if I were a future young player Put it this way he's got a lot of potential as a golfer.

His swing is just like Tigers, and so nice to look at. That 5 iron, wow. And he's got a bit of arrogance/attitude, that helps.

Here we are 2 years later, same event. As a former Woods detractor i think it's awesome that he's out there hitting some on film. He's driving it straighter than ever and getting a bit better all the time. Look forward to him playing some events.

Charlie looks brilliant, great swing, a heap of dads mannerisms and plays bloody good golf as well. He's really growing and certainly knocking it out there even at 14. He knocked it over a 321 yard par 4. Top short game too.

If i didn't see it i never would have believed would have had the humility to come back and hack it up thru injuries, aging, lack of reps and the resultant bad form. Color me shocked and the fact that he could put himself thru all that (as well as the realisation he could be gone any day) has won me over and sees me enjoying everything he does golfwise right now, good bad or indifferent.

Really dislike this parade. The hole is 321yrd as routed. The carry line he took is 260yds.He's ranked 17th in some Tiger Florida thing. No AJGA ranking. And that list is about 3,000 long, including kids younger than him. Quite small for his age too.In his high school team he contributed 78-76, they don't play off the back tees.Tiger was about to win his first US junior about this age. The hype around the kid is insane and will be detrimental to the kid IMO.

True enough. At any rate i'm not picking him to be some sort of great golfer. He's playing "bloody good golf" tho.
