The only thing that I found surprising was that his 8.5 degree driver is set to play at over 11 degrees.

60gm driver shaft, 100gm fairway shafts?
Cobra Fly Z+ w/ Fujikura Pro 63x
Cobra BioCell+ 16.5* w/ Diamana D+ 72s
Cobra Amp Cell Pro 3-PW w/ Modus 120 S
Cobra Tour Trusty 52*/56*
Scotty Cameron GoLo 5 (knuckled)
Driver tipped 1.5".
Also, i reckon its at 11, as its over 2* open. Back at square, that'll bring it down to 8.5-9
Holy Shit......1.5" & 2" tipped x flex wood shafts!!!! They'd be like axes in my choppa hands.
Respect.
Even WITHOUT the tipping 'Nut! Although for the Diamana there would normally be 1/2" tip in a 3W and 3/4" tip in the 5W to play to true flex (supposed to be 1" max trim!). So those things are WAAAAYYYY stiff.
I hit the DI 6x on the weekend...I'm yet to find out if the shaft I have has been tipped at all (I suspect it is). But 1.5" tip on THAT shaft = WAAAAYYY Stiff too

How does this turn into a for sale thread ? You blokes need to ease up a little and show some respect to the Count.
Anyone else notice the MOI matched lengths ?
Is there a typo on the driver face angle - +2 3/2 ?
It looks like the PW says 49 deg as well, which must be a bit unusual these days.
Depends on which decade you got used to your clubs. These days a traditional PW is labeled GW. In the 70s, a 1 iron loft was equivalent to what is a 2 iron. Ping were one of the first to introduce the concept of renumbering in the EYE2s. They were considered a longer than the competitors at the time. All my blades setsstill have a 49 degree PW.
Nope - all pretty standard.
Tiger is a high spin player. . . he has been quoted many times as saying that he likes the higher spin rates - it is his job to be able to control the spin and it is easier to control spin when you have a lot of it.
It also allows him to get at tight pins.
He plays an open driver like most good players to avoid the dreaded "left shot"
48 and 49 degree is pretty standard for a blade wedge, due to the lower launch that cavity.
i'd like to compare them to someone like DJ or Martin Kaymer. Both of those guys have admitted they lose it right, and i remember in a lot of the fitting vids for DJ he was trying to adjust the club to get a bit more of a draw.
No one really gives a shit about losing it right... you can still earn a living in the right rough.
It is the lefts that most of the biys want to avoid.
Ask Westwood, Badds, Michael Campbell and Luke Donald what happens with the lefts ... Also, heard from Lucas Glover lately ?
Left is unemployment.
