Yeah, the diesel Pathfinder looks to be one of the better options around. If "they" would stop gouging Australians on the diesel price, cars like that would be even cheaper to run.

I'd consider an LPG conversion on a Ford Territory or something, but who knows where LPG prices will go too....
Getting on average about 6.8 to 7.2L/100km. Car has done just on 55000km. Up for renewal next May. Thinking another Focus either the Xr5 or the diesel.

I am on about 7.5 at the moment, i reset the counter in about March and havent turned on the AC since. with the AC on 100% of the time i got about 8.4 from memory.

I am using E10 fuel, i think thats 95 ron. Gave up on the 98 ages ago, i didnt see it making any realisable difference.

MTB E10 is NOT recommended by Ford!! It can run on E5 but we don't have it here.

Yeah just checked that page and pre 2004 Focus's are not compatible. Guess I took a Ford employees word rather than look it up.

I've got a BA MkII Falcon ute & a BF MkII Falcon ute.
Only the BF is E10 compatible.

    $1.79 for Diesel
    $1.57 for Unleaded
That was at the start of last week when I last fuelled up.

Funny the price of Diesel up here is only a couple of cents higher than Brisbane, it pretty much averaged around the 180 mark all the way from Moranbah to Brisbane. One thing I noticed, up here the difference between ULP and Diesel is around 18 to 20 cents and in Brisbane is 30 cents

I haven't got a overly large tank in my ute and it is a $100+ fill now if I go to the warning light or close to it

    RACV for Vics

The google widget is quite good as well. Put in your postcode and the prices are displayed. Prices are updated twice daily.

Look at the bottom right of the widget - uses Motormouth

Yeah and when you do a search using Motormouth it states a tip
"Not familiar with a service station address? Search for that address with Google Maps."

The google widget shows the servos.
