One day we will the GST subsidy bit right and return some funds to the Premier state. I understand giving money to the minor states but QLD's economy should not really need it now.

Shell has a web site that you can see the price around the country. Not sure if they wanted it to be so honest though. Today is 9 cents a litre more expensive than 28 days ago, but the wholesale price is .1 cent cheaper.

    Something i dont get?

    In 1985 I swear petrol was $0.50 per l - today $1.10
    10oz beer was $0.70 - now $2.40
Loaf of bread and litre of milk $2.00 - now $(i got no idea really $6.00?)
    average home $80000 - now $320000
    new commodore $13000 - now $35000
    bank tellers wage $13000 - now $35000
    pinball machine $0.20 - now $2.00
    decent golf ball $2.50 - $7.50
    golf clubs $600 - now $2000
nightclub rum and coke $2.00 - now $8.00

maybe some of those figures are out a bit but wouldnt be far off.

so maybe petrol isnt so expensive after all?

Man - I hate Qld's discount on petrol compared to the rest of us - give us back our GST you buggers!

I paid $1.18 the other week - pretty happy with that - though I wouldn't mind a few more drops in price

$1.34 a litre in Albury/Wodonga today after a six cents a litre drop over the past few days.

Reports heard today that the price here in NSW could drop to the 1.00 - 1.10 weekly price cycle by the end of the year.

$1.06 at Redbank Plains. If it drops to a dollar it'll give the Aussie car industry a boost. Shame too, as I was gonna buy a nice little Euro diesel....
