Why are you making the discussion only about border residents? There would have been so many people that were flying to Sydney or Canberra (or Melbourne) on a regular basis for work, who can't.

I live close to the border, so i guess thats where my perspective comes from. I dont know how the northermers see it ( thats why i asked)

As best i can tell people can still fly interstate. They just need to apply. The list of exemptions is fairly extensive, and passenger flights are stilll operating.

You can fly interstate and come back as a returning resident, but you will have to quarantine in a hotel for 14 days at your expense.

My BIL was deemed an essential worker and was commuting between Melb and Syd. He's in the process of moving permanently to Melb for work.

Flew home for two weeks, left his car at the airport and the plan was to move the family over at the end of the two week.

Now he's looking at $4500 and two weeks of quarantine to make it happen. That car at the airport could end up costing a few $$ in the end as well.

Are you sure? I read the rules and thats not case. Just apply get your pass and no quarantine for the essential workers.

Yes, only if you are an essential worker, which I don't think is that extensive.

The quality of enquiry I get for upholstery work through Facebook, via the contact us form on my website, and recently through Google business!! Almost never leave their name, and very lucky if it has any sentence structure. Latest one, "quote to upholster 6 dining chair". That's fairly representative of half or more the messages. I feel like responding with "$500 each" (in most cases way too much), just to see their reaction.

That people watch and might enjoy watching Holly Molly.

Maybe it's because I like Golf as a game I just can't warm to it just like I find "Drift Racing" insulting to Circuit Racing.

Never watched it. Have no intention of watching it. Got sick of it after the first ad last year.

It’s awful, the humor is terrible and the physical challenges absurd.

Only thing that is reasonable is the actual putting/mini golf

Sadly that’s the lowest priority for the show

I doubt golfers are the intended audience. It’s some sort of weird ‘it’s a knockout’ vibe with a bit of putt putt thrown in.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

I appreciate its for a wider audience. The only problem is the physical tasks are designed for the likes of Ninja Warrior contestants, not average Mary Joe club golfer. Hence the vast majority get wiped out and then the mockery IMO is a little overbearing

My wife watched it and is not a golfer. The only thing she liked was the mini golf parts

Doubt? It absolutely isnt for golfers. And its winning. The knock on effect will be more people playing golf. Whether thats minigolf or topgolf or beach golf that doesnt matter.. A serious golf reality show is boring as batshit.

Not to mention Golfer Girl got a billion hits on her website, met her a few times, she does a good job with her promo business, good player too.

I'm old enough to remember It's A Knockout.

I'm thankful that the thing has started, so I won't see the promo's during the cricket any longer.

On that subject, I've stolen this thought from someone else, but it is very bemusing that 7 would complain about being stuck with a contract to show the cricket, when they have put so much effort into the Holey Moley style of sport.

I'm actually looking forward to the progress reports of the court case. By all reports the cricket ratings were very good, and if 7 didn't get value for their money it wasn't Cricket's fault.

Golf Australia have spent tens of millions trying to welcome women into the game, when all they needed to do was to coat some fine young slappers in lube and slide them down a slippery hill. Well done Holey Moley for growing the game. Becky Kay will be on it this week to further stiffen the men's interest in the ladies game.

    Go golf!

I'd prefer Holey Moley to any of the Bachelor, MAFS, Farmer WAW, Masked singer or a billion other concepts that have made free to air TV. They are all shite, but its less shite than others.
