If the ball bounces forward 50 mts off the path some members will think it’s wonderful.. I have pointed out an anomaly in our hole rating system , was told it would be fixed because they were redoing the ratings, it wasn’t , the reason given meant fairness was over ruled by mathematics . So now when my cap is 8 I don’t play on the hills course unless I really have too

It was into the wind yesterday, so I guess I got about 30m extra! but the bitumen graze on the ball shitted me no end thereafter!

Played with a long standing member who claimed the whole obsessing with a72 rating is from the not so benevolent dictator.

Except for one slight problem ... The 'released' footage is of a Commodore, yet the accident involved a Highway Patrol Falcon.

A pretty easy detail to pick up. Kind of the standard of reporting expected from the Tele though

Best way to catch Garfish is to take a sh*t over the end of the jetty then use fresh large maggots with a stick float. I'll catch you some from Glenelg Jetty next time I'm down.👍

Mate of mine from RAdelaide got these the other week.

Presumably he only caught KGW because he didn't use the "Ferrins Method".

When did they change the rules around Lane Discipline? you know, it being a requirement to stay in your lane when driving? I mean it had to be a bulletin announcement or something surely?. I am pretty sure it isn't because Driver Training and Licensing has changed, because the worse offenders seem to be older Drivers. Hell, just drive into our Club car park on Vets day and see how many struggle to park between 2 white lines every week.

And where do the Entitleds and More Importantors meet? I am sure I am missing out on something!

Whenever I hear or see of one of those media reports of injured persons as a result of a road rage incident I always have to check to see that Daves wasn't involved.

Drive around Dandenong for a while huge ethnic area and no ferkin idea is the nicest way I can put it . Glenhuntly rd Elsternwick was a great one for the oldies, parallel parking , busy rd would just pull out on you no indicator, or just stop dead on you, double park get out and go shopping

I was referring more to driving within the lane/lines than parking. My bad, I probably confused it with the car parking reference.

Daves, has it got to the point where its time to leave the land of terry towelling hatted drivers with only a passing interest in using their blinkers.

That said, it may well be like getting the shites with Westpac and moving to ANZ.

I got that and is what my Dandenong reference was about , they have no concept of keeping their car in their lane , they wander half into yours and then back again it’s not changing lanes without indicating, they just wander . The oldies are better than the new arrivals down here at staying in their lanes . The Elsternwick reference was about oldies and there annoying habits here .

That the latest golf rules still refuse to use a standard unit of measure, and persist with variables like knee height and club lengths.

I'm surprised that they didn't make it a 200 heartbeat limit, when searching for a lost ball.

Knee height or a club length can easily be referenced.

I don’t feel like carrying a measuring tape to ensure my interpretation of 2m is the same as a playing partner’s.
