sorry but lowballers do wear thin quite quickly for some, and gumtree foster and grow them. I've noticed you have "sent your lowball offer" a few times. Offer what you're prepared to pay, if people did that AND did some research to see if their offer was even worth considering, there'd be less aggro about.

I sold a set of iron heads recently worldwide purely because I knew no Aussies would pay a decent price. 100+ watchers and 15+ bidders, one aussie who bailed around 300.

I can't change what Aussies have become and you're no different to others, but I think you should consider the time of this person you're wasting.

I don’t mind the lowballers on gumtree. They just get a “no thanks” reply and no negotiation. It’s the wankers who agree to a price and then ghost you that really wind me up.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Well, the issue I had was he advertised "negotiable" while the offer was not a bastard low ball price, but it was a lower price to start the negotiation. I dont offer $100 when people offer $300.... thats just rude
If you are not willing to negotiate.... just advertise as "Fixed priced" or Non Negotiable.

generally, I dont make offers when it is advertised as fixed priced.

I went to an LPO this morning to post a shaft to another Ozgolfer. I gave the guy behind the counter the tube and watched bemused, as he weighed it. Initially, conventionally, laying the tube on the scale. But then he turned it on its end and "tried" to weigh it standing up, whilst holding it. First "bemusement" was him hitting the moving ceiling fan blade above with the tube. And then him trying to convince me it weight more than 500grams (it was actually sub 360g), so he could charge a higher fee. He wasn't very good at it and buckled quickly, but I have no doubt he was trying to con me.

My eldest child is not as smart as I thought he was. I don't know how he came up with the answer for who is the mayor of Cairns.

The amount of Shill bidding going on on eBay. It seems to be becoming endemic.
