If I win an auction and the second higher bidder has no feedback then I don't buy it.

Yep, plenty of that happening. The easiest give away is a history of items being relisted after apparently selling under auction. I got one guy kicked off last month with over 500+ positive feedback. Everyone of their Auctions had shill bids evident, and stuff had been relisted multiple times after supposedly selling.

P.S. Or at least I thought they had been kicked off. All their listings were removed. But I see they are back listing again, so eBay don't take it seriously. A half smart lawyer could run a pretty fair class action you would think.

I've got a 'bemused' for NSW residents only.

The latest NRMA ads are based on Throw Your Arms Around Me. One of the lyrics quoted in the ad is "I will kiss you in four places"

When the service guy attends, do you get to choose which four places he will kiss you?

There are other lyrics that may not quite have the meaning the NRMA thinks they have. I don't think they quite thought this one through.

Plus it's a song that people sing when they're really pissed.

    You're safe, Jim.

This one is in the amused/bemused category.

I just saw a HSV commercial for their latest product; it is called the Colorado SportsCat. You would think they might have given that name a tad more thought, would you not?

I guess it might have been their way of saying it is Shit Hot! But as it uses the same Duramax Diesel as the normal "Shitbox" Colorado (John Cadogan of AutoExperts words, not mine) it really only a flashier Colorado with the same drinking problem (up to a litre of oil per 1,000km, according to reports on u Tube).

Yep, the Colorado does like its oil. My recent 60,000klm service I got done by a client as the vehicle is now out of warranty. There was only about 1.75 litres of oil left when they drained it.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

They have apparently replaced quite a few engines without fixing the problem in the RG series. And Holden is now apparently changing the recommended oil viscosity used (to 5W-40W) and increasing capacity by changing the Dipstick. Neither of which seems to fix the chronic cases, at least. Given the service intervals are 15k or 12 months, more than one must have run out before they realised?

Which in and of itself is ridiculous considering the Navara has the best suspension of any ute going.

My client knows of at least three cases where the local Holden dealer has replaced motors and he has suggested I go back to them and hit them up about this issue.

Uber - How do these low lifes get away with their shonky dealings and operating models, of which there seems to be many! I have never understood why they are so popular?, and why Governments fawn to them?? Enthusiasm for Companies pushing the Envelope, I can understand, But every thing I read about Uber says Shady Shysters to me, quite a different animal.

    An example mentioned here;

When we were last down the coast, I was quite surprised how many of them I saw picking up deliveries at the Macca's across the street. Maybe because I'm not used to seeing them at all, but any time I was there (picking up Rob's morning coffee daily at least) the seemed to be two or three in there, and always one arriving. Mostly all on bicycles.

Default Things that bemuse, perplex, befuddle and flummox you

Would you get a haircut from guys that wear hipster hats instead of showing their hair?

FWIW I'm tempted but $40 is ridiculous.

Don’t worry about the hats. No point getting a haircut from someone who has a great haircut themselves anyway. You need to go to whoever does their hair instead. Agree $40 is a bit steep either way.

Our Club Pro yesterday had his contract terminated effective immediately due to fraudulent behaviour.
He was deliberately removing bookings from the timesheets and placing in green fee paying customers and then pocketing the money.

Back early last month he announced that he would not be renewing his contract (ending 30/06/201 and the club took the decision to buy the Pro Shop.
He had taken a position at Kooyonga in the new financial year. Guess that might not happen now once they catch wind of this.

I arrive back in the country and all I hear about is some stupid royal wedding. I'm glad I wasn't here for the leadup.
