The article was probably full of apostrophe crimes too.

I am bemused that every media report is accompanied by celebrity tweets of well wishes for Woods.

"Hey look at me I said something nice to someone"

I was particularly close to buying one of them, decided on the new Santa Fe instead.

Having driven a few the squillions spent in development has been well translated into production.

Went to forward plan a trip in December and earmarked Peninsula Kingswood

They want $800 for ONE nights accommodation, breakfast and to play both courses....OUCH!

& I thought Victoria GC was expensive

    TC,

Wow, that's a decent clip, not sure if it includes dinner/drinks. From memory when one of the boys looked at it, the green fee was $350.

We go to Victoria GC each year, great course, food is brilliant, wine list is reasonable, a lot of members know our group after many years, I never really think its pricey (but that's an individual perspective). Its close enough to the rest of Melbourne when some of the punters want to go out. Suggest PK wont be seeing us unless I get a really good review from someone.

No dinner with that price PG, From memory Vic GC was $450 per night but all inclusive; dinner, breakfast and lunch plus a round of golf with the additional rounds priced at $120

I get the new courses are good and the facilities are top but even still that is an absurd price

TC, based on some recent feedback from others who have visited/stayed, you'd be wise to give the place a very wide berth.

Noted, thanks for the heads up. I assume it was just piss poor hospitality, I mean for that price ($500 for the accommodation) the equivalent would be Crown in Sydney (6 star hotel)

yes. It is supply and demand, demand in australia is up, so up go the prices. The prices will settle at whatever prices punters will pay.

Just received a corporate email, re. fundraising for welfare support in Ukraine.

Obviously their PR people haven't seen Russian tanks on the news, as the banner page and website links are an Ukrainian flag with a Z (the company logo) super-imposed.

Hmmm, the shaft that I use is not available on Amazon.
Amazon.com : FST Pro 115 Step Less Steel Iron A/R Flex Shaft : Sports & Outdoors
I wonder what is available if I go to the FST Amazon Store. Clicks "Visit the FST Store" link...

    Oh dear.

I recall reading somewhere that these are not availabledue to lockdowns, supply iasues and unknow when it wpuld restart.

If you need one, seek out a KBS shaft that meets the same specs, and i suspect it is exactly the same shaft.

I've got the 5I-PW with the FST Pro 115R, and the 3I still has an old shaft, although it still goes fine. The 4 iron shaft is bent, and I'm getting a bit sick of the gap. I'll have a look at KBS, as there are plenty of those around.

Golf National might have them. And they are close to you in Brisbane (Sumner). He also stocks KBS shafts.

I saw those in my search, and I hadn't noticed that it was Sumner. Those are stock FST rather than Pro though. Does he supply dildos too?

He sells JumboMax grips if you are really desperate!

He is very knowledgeable about club building gear, but don't ask any questions unless you have a few hours to spare! I got a tour of the Warehouse and finally left 2 hours later!

I prefer playing standard single comps, with other formats as the occasional change-up/novelty. I guess Esk isn't the club for me, considering this run of Saturday comps.
