Default Things that bemuse, perplex, befuddle and flummox you

I thought a new thread might be in order. It/They really don't piss you off, but they do make you say wtf!?? The downside with the thread I see is they don't tend to stick in the memory like things you like or piss you off. I had a heap in mind earlier, buggered if I can think of most of them now!

Why do retailers of mens shorts and trousers only tend to stock small sizes? I thought we were a nation of fatties?

Ditto for shoes, try finding anything bigger than an 11 or perhaps a 12 in most shops? We are breeding them bigger, so why no larger sizes?

    Daves,

I'm a little bemused and perplexed that you didn't use one of my favourite words in the title - Flummoxed.

The fatties lie in wait for the stock to hit the shelves, then ambush the store and buy them all up before you can get there.

It was considered, along with befuddled.

    Same problem.

Busted a zip at work (thankful for safety pin in first aid kit), and went to the Rhodes mega-mall, but could only find $140 trousers for 32-35" waists. So back in the car to visit Lowes at Burwood. Heaven!

With hindsight, should have gone to the DFO at Homebush, based on the size of the bogans failing to give way at the stop sign exiting that place.

Why size 36 pants are always made 3 inches longer than a pair of size 34 pants. I'm 6 foot even & not once have I had to have a pair of size 34 pants taken up but now that my 26 year old gut has given up any pretence of trying to look, and therefore be, flat I've had to go to size 36's, which ALL require at least 2 inches taken up if not more.

    So because I've broken the 90kg barrier I'm instantly 6 foot 4?!?!

    WTF!?!?

That's why I go to Lowes. You need to look for the 92ST tag rather than the 92R.

I keep telling myself that ST stands for strong-man. Or standard. Or stranger. Or ... (Anything but ??out.)

ps. Makes colour selection easier, as it usually only comes in plain black, navy or charcoal.

Am sitting in an airline lounge, early morning. 2 punters opposite me are shoving various pieces of food and anything else they can lay their hands on into their carry on luggage. On previous flights have I missed something, is the food that good or once you are a tight git, you feel compelled to live the rest of your life that way?

That Channel Nine can simulcast the Today show on Gem in HD but not any sporting telecast where HD is more worthwhile.

The bowlers are going alright. Starc needs to mature. The batsmen are selling them up the river.
