He may have seen one of my old clubs, as I prefer the brand name underneath, when possible.

So this has been my playing around this week.
I pulled the cs Lite shaft out of my old ping M/B 54*, and stuck it in my dad's old carnagie Clarke 10i chipper, and cut it to 35" length. It had a very light sw, so I used a small brass countersunk bolt with some lead tape wrapped around it to make a tip weight, and got the sw up to about D0. The ping ChipR club is at about E5, I think! I'll see how it goes, but my 54/56/60 wedges are all about D4, so I might use lead tape to get it there yet. I also want to take it to my club and see if they can bend it a little weaker? The combined loft and bounce of this is 30*, but the bounce of really low, I reckon no more than 3*. I wouldn't mind increasing that a little too help with it digging in, and get a touch more loft. Again, the ping ChipR is 38.5*, and I'm guessing they know more about the reasons why than I do!

I also added 2.5" to an old Slazenger Nicklaus putter I had here, and polished it up (I know I shouldn't have, but it was pretty marked and dirty), and added a new Ping grip. It's at 35", which seems to be about the length I like. SW of this sucker is like B6! Though I don't know how important that is in putters.

Years ago I had my Mid Sur cut down by the club to 39", and had a 15" grip or on and a weight I made up in the top of the shaft.
I cut the old grip off, and turns out the club never stuck the weight in as I'd asked. While it was ok, the head still felt a bit heavy to me.
Cut it down to 38" and made up a 40ish gram weight and stuck a new Ping 15" counterbalance grip on it! The club's tried to get me a Scotty dual balance grip for it, but titlist won't sell them one, and pulled grips seem to be pretty expensive! But, the head is a copy of a Ping Anser anyway..... Feels much better already with the extra weight in the butt.

I also made up a counter weight for my 54* as it always felt heavy to me and never played it well, and it now matches my other wedges.

Getting the hang of using my air compressor to get these grips on and off. Just have to turn it on for only a few seconds, otherwise the air pressure is too much to gently control and I'll explode the grip.

Of course some of his stuff is baasic but other things are a bit out there. Worth the watch.

I tried these golf pride wannabes from Amazon. They've been really good so far. I've played about 15 rounds with them, and a bunch of simulator use. Would definitely buy again.

    *Yes

If graphite shafts, you can taper the first 3/8" of the shaft.

If they are steel shafts you can ream the heads to 0.370.

If they are certain brands (Cobra, Maltby), some heads are designed to take either.

I have seen some wannabe grips on Amazon, some with great reviews, some with bad ones. I dont recognise the name you shared here though.

The clubmaker you tube channel i recoomended above did a review on two of these chinese brands and gave one of them a really good wrap. I think it was Champkey.

Also that Golf National bloke in Brisso has some very cheap Tacki Mac grips, as little as $6 from memory. I think handy for me, quick regrips while a experiment before chucking a gripmaster on

The TENSEI CK Series Blue profile modernizes our classic, smooth bend profile.

Got to the bottom of it. They told me it’s a cool clubs exclusive shaft Mitsubishi make for them. Sounds like he will have to buy from them then

Anyone got any thoughts on replacing a double bend shaft from a White Hot 2 Ball with a Stroke Lab shaft? If it's possible, anyone know where I can buy a Stroke Lab shaft?

    G'day.

About to embark on my first attempt at building a club(s) ... Couple of quick questions.

    1. From previous thread reading, I recall that stock Selly's Araldite is perfectly fine to use as an epoxy for club building ? This is the one I was going to grab ...

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-...-glue_p1230038

    2. After a small quantity of ferrules. Where's the best place for supplies ... The Bay, online store etc ? The Bay has what I'm after (a specific size collared ferrule to suit Vokey SM8's) ... But have to buy 12, yet will only ever use 3 or 4 max I'm thinking.

The rest will be trail, error and re glue !

    Any pointers appreciated.

    Cheers.
