    I also build fishing rods as a hobby, but none of my threads are nearly thick enough unfortunately.

    A new Youtube channel with a couple of restoration videos;

    Not the only, or necessarily the best ways to do it, but quite doable by the average punter without any special tools. Note the warnings about working with Copper Beryllium.

    Could you reuse it after you took it off?

    Yes, on my F9 grip I used a syringe with solvent (Turps) and didn’t rush it.

    I have an annoying problem trying to shaft a set of ping i3 irons I have now bought 2 sets of shafts to do them and the tip prep is to long on both sets , because i3's dont use a ferrule ?
    Any thoughts ?

    Buy new shafts. It's really the only way, and is way cheaper than you would imagine.

    What’s the best way to remove that ring of old epoxy from Graphite Shafts when Driver/Fairway tips are removed without removing the paint off the shaft.
    I don’t seem to be getting anywhere using Acetone and a cloth.

    A bit of heat just to soften the epoxy, and a very steady hand with a new sharp razor blade.

    Shafts!

    After an interesting experience at a demo day I am wondering if the shafts in my driver, 3 wood and hybrid may be an issue. I have issues with lefts with all of them, all have 'stiff' shafts but after hitting an X flex driver well at the demo day I am wondering if I need something stiffer.

    That said I have no idea where to even start on which model shaft etc! How can I narrow the field on what is appropriate?

    Time wise it has always been reasonable, price wise they can be a bit exy.

    TXG are the gurus on this stuff, I reckon. Here is a relevant video. There are heaps more that might answer your questions, and give you a better understanding of what shafts can do;

    And another about tipping a shaft (i.e. adjusting tip stiffness);

    I bought mine from them, but it was included in a large order, so was able to spread the cost of shipping. You can email them for a shipping quote.

    Golf Mechanix are also good. Probably similar overall cost though. But they do tell you the Shipping cost estimate when you have an account/register

    https://www.golfmechanix.com/default.asp

    Alternatively, piggyback someone making a larger order.
