Thanks Courty,a Lanolin based spray would be a good option as well.

I am using 0000 Steel Wool now instead of a Non Scratch Scourer. The glass clean industry use it to clean glass without scratching, so it will hopefully be kind to the Chrome finishes.

And based on your suggestion, I am trialing Inox Lanolin spray as a protective coating. I spray it onto a sponge and wipe it on.

There is a video on their website covering a few things. Don’t go too large (more than 2) with the build up tape. Keep an even tension across the grip if the wrap version. Try to minimise bending of the grip when getting the opening over the shaft. You’ll do it no dramas.

Only difference I’ve found with them is there’s not as much give so I agree with the max 2 layers of tape. Otherwise blowing on and off with air is really straightforward. If anything I find them easier to remove than rubber grips because I’ve never had one bubble/burst.

Use soap. Turps whatever after the grips go to shite. Then it doesnt matter. My iron grips are about 7yo, they are still good.

I picked up a Cobra F9 with this in it. Got me excited to hit driver, not something that happens too often.

do clubs with shaft adaptors, generally mean the shaft needs to be tipped shorter to compensate for the length of the adaptor?

    thanks Chappy

I just found this article on line which explains it quite well, i guess it comes down to whether the BBGM is the same in different heads (adaptors or not)

Question for the guru's, I recently broke my trusty 7 wood shaft after my bag fell over and I backed the car over my bag... I have since gotten a replacement shaft, but I don't have any club building glue left.
Are there any around the home alternatives I can use? I don't really want to buy new club glue as I don't tinker very much anymore, and it will just go off.
