24hr Araldite is a great choice if you have the patience to wait that long.

Edit: Just had a look at the price of Araldite, and it's no cheaper than Golfworks or Brampton anyway. Makes no sense not to get the 90min Golfworks epoxy.

Another tip for those who want maximum epoxy value for money is to store the unmixed epoxy in the fridge. This will increase the shelf life, as many epoxies can "crystalise" once opened, and the cold will minimise this.

If you go through a set in a year, not an issue.

    I go through 3 kits a year, so au$69pp.

3 kits of araldite from bunnings is $147.

Works out pretty close for a better (for me) product.

Sorry if this has been asked before but has anyone used this bear double sided tape before on their clubs? Or a similar non paper double sided tape? https://www.bunnings.com.au/bear-48m...-tape_p1661630
Just got some karma jumbos in and originally was just gonna use hairspray or air lol.

I have used this exact tape in the last fortnight and it works a treat. I don't like grip tape as a rule, and don't remember the last time I used it. But the grips in question needed DS tape

Looks like the old pro that did my shaft extensions 16 years ago used aluminium. Didn’t know that was a thing haha.

I did a remake on a whole set with timber extension plugs recently. I have struck Timber spasmodically before. It is a real bitch because you can't blow off the grip (no hole through the timber) and they always use lots of double side tape to hold them in place.

CP2's Cam, the only grip that wouldn't fasten with hairspray, air and build up tape

What’s the best way to remove the extensions in irons shafts?

Heat to break/loosen the Epoxy hold, a Vice to hold the shaft, and Multigrips to pull the Extension out.

    Thanks Dave’s, i’ll give it a rip.
I assume if you clean the epoxy off the extensions properly they can be reused?

In theory, though the tube is relatively soft and they tend to get bent out of shape a bit pulling them out. If you are relatively gentle with them you should be able to re-use at least some of them.

    Following up on this:

I am replacing some graphite shafts that had been glued with araldite. They pulled no worries, but the glue that has hardened inside the shaft is exceptionally hard.

This is making it difficult to drill out the epoxy in center without damaging the shaft, which is far softer. Compared to bramptons or golfworks, these 2 epoxies are "soft" and drill out very easily.

For this reason alone, I would not recommend any araldite products on graphite shafts. Steel, no dramas.

Any chance putting the tips in boiling water will soften the epoxy enough to drill it out / remove it without any issues.

I did the job already, slow and steady. Also have a drill guide to use.

Wasted a tonne of time, wouldn't be necesary if better epoxy was used.

Has anyone had any experience in taking a Cobra Connect Grip off. Can you just lever the Tag out, or is it attached somehow?

I just took the entire grip/cc off mine in one go. Didn't appear they could seperate, but didn't put a lot of effort into trying.

It's part of the grip cap so I don't know how you would re-use it.

Thanks Benno. I found a Help Thread on the Cobra site where one of their staff said it could be taken out and re-used. So I levered the Tag out and then blew the grip off.

It was actually just held in position by the grip cap, no glue etc. It is pretty flimsy though. It is just a chip with a button battery taped to it, held together with a small amount of shrink wrap. I have re-installed it in the removed grip, but have not tested whether it still works as yet.

Mizuno make a jpx fil hi hybrid and Cleveland now make a launcher hybrid that’s similar, is it possible to bend a 3 19 degs to make it a 2 @ 17 degs , note these are the combo, iron face hybrid back type
