Guys, I have a set of KBS shafts which were meant to be 105's but I don't think they are. No stickers, any way of telling whether they're just normal KBS?

If i wanted to weigh a shaft, would a normal set of kitchen scales help me to work it out?

Do you mean KBS Tour 105, if so I think it has a different step pattern to the other Tour and light shafts. If you try to weigh them, the s is 110g and the R is 105g I think.

Not sure what you mean as normal KBS are you trying to find out what flex they are?

All the KBS I’ve ever owned have the spec laser etched on the butt. Might be faint but should be there.

A $12 precision scales from ebay is essential for any budding clubmaker. Get one that does up to 500g

    Happy Mothers Day all

I removed the grip from the 4 iron, the code says:

    kbs tour s #3 1 130 14 3 13.5.7 bk

I can't find any info on the serials on google, but my simpleton brain tells me I have a 3 iron shaft in there. I'm also thinking it may be 130 grams?

That’ll be a KBS Tour stiff 3 iron (it’s #3I not #3 1). My shafts have the same code format afterwards. None of it is weight related as far as I can tell. Assume it’s just internal to KBS.

Should ask is this a parallel shaft if so

    A Tour 110 s be etched KBS Tour S and be 130g

    A tour 105 would be 114g or 110 for a tapered tip

I think you have KBS Tour (110) S

the RSI 2 had the tour 105s.

Is it possible to match the specs of a 2008 driver to a modern one? It's a higher loft old nike sumo.
I'd be using my club pro to do it,haven't got around to asking yet.

Thanks Blakey - I figured so but was unsure. It would be Chris McCourt so I'd be confident of it being done properly.

I tried a few driver ahafts at pureform last week. The most interesting shaft i tried was the VA drago 70x. They have a range to suit all speeds. Unbelievably stable. The founder has a very impressive CV including getting Graphite design off the ground. Definitely.worth a look.

wondering if you guys can give me confirm for me:

    - Is the RBZ black uses the same tip as the M series tips?
    - Is the Matrix Ozik X4 white tie any good? saw a guy selling it cheap and was curious, but not sure if it is worth fluffing over if the tip doesnt fit.

    thanks

Ive tried some cool VA shafts at an exclusive Purefrom day held at our club a while back.
They make some outstanding shafts, but the cost is out of this world expensive!

    Hey Guys,
Anyone know who does bored shaft replacements in Melbourne? Need to put an X-stiff in an old Titliest 906F 3 wood, but don't know how to change them as I'm just starting club building.

I am pretty sure Chappy can handle a Bore Through shaft replacement.

I assume you mean the 2017 version of the RBZ? if so, yes the current Adapters fit it.
