    Does that work with all grips? I know it's fine with Pure grips, I'm normally a golf pride MCC person though.Does blowing them on with air also work if I want to add a few layers of tape?

    Silly question: if I normally have 3 layers of tape plus the double sided tape, do I need to use 5 layers if blowing on with air?

    Christ that’s a lot of tape!
    why don’t you just buy midsize grips!
    Are you a giant?

    I like the grip to be between standard and midsize, but closer to midsize. I'm not a giant, just too many years playing hockey where the handle is a lot thicker.

    Also midsize MCC grips weigh so much swing weighting is a right pain. I haven't measured but I don't think 3 layers of masking tape weighs 12g.

    Ryobi One+ 18v Inflator/Deflator also does the job.

    Great system, as saves mucking around with power cords and 2 stroke. Also got a grinder, circular saw, two drills and yard care stuff (as I'm down to 100 sqm of lawn.)

    Battery flat? Just swap in another or take the hint not too work so hard and stop for a beer.

    I use Cloth Tape, it is a lot thicker and I only need a couple of wraps to take a Standard Grip to around Midsize. Some cheap, tacky Hair Spray (don't be stingy with it) and an Air Gun and it is all done. Align the grip, leave it for half an hour or so and the spray dries and you are set to go. The Pure Grip Guns are good but I also use one of these, which you can sometimes pick up cheaply;

    Do you have a link to the cloth tape you use? A search on eBay shows lots of varieties.

    No particular brand, they are all much the same. I currently have a roll of Nortons and a roll of Clingtape in the supplies cupboard. From memory Supercheap, the Reject Shop and Bunnings all have it in abundance and colour options.

    Do you just mean what is otherwise known as 'gaffa' tape?

    Similar, Gaffa would work as well. This is one of the ones I use;

    I've been using painters tape of late. I think it was someone here suggested it. Haven't looked back.

    I just gripped a club for a guy this weekend and noticed the cloth tape - he said that Golfbox had done it originally

    Due to the thickness, I was considering trying it myself.

    Glad to hear that others use it as well. Will definitely grab some now.

    Just keep in mind that if you want to take it off, cloth tape is a real pain.

    I must be getting the crappy cloth tape from other places. I’ve used a heat gun and the glue just melts and goes all stringy. Terrible stuff

    Good to know. If only the well known retail store near me would use the good cloth tape. I’d see a few sets a week before the lock down with the crap stuff and it was a nightmare
