Benno, it's specifically the C-Taper that's had this issue isn't it? I haven't heard of the KBS Tours doing this but I could be wrong.

There have been examples, but seems to be a rare occurance vs the inherent faults of the c-tapers.

Update ** I contacted KBS and they are replacing the shafts, referencing the photos I sent them. Turns out I have bent 6,7,8,9 and PW with PW hardly even measurable.

What did you need to show, tips and serial numbers?

Anyone ever used the Bear tape from Bunnings for their grips?

    Yes, but.

If you tape the full length of the grip, there is an excess of sticky residue, when activated by the turps, so ...

I use masking tape to build up the grip, if standard grips, and no tape for midsize. Then just an inch (25mm) of the Bear double-sided around the top of the shaft. Turps in the grip, shake it around, drain excess and slip it on.

Enough residue to stick the grip after 5 mins and still be able to blow off easily a later date with a rechargeable tire pump.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

Is it true "tour only" shaft play much stiff-er compare to a standard retail shaft?

I think the differences is the tolerances used when manufactured. I know the Tour Issue DG's are sorted so they are +/- 1g.

Anyone ever seen hot melt used instead of a tip weight in an iron?

Nope it's not epoxy. Its pinkish in colour. Goes soft when heated and hard again straight away. Found in around 5 irons in a new set from Callaway AU.

Probably just a plastic tip to stop epoxy moving into the shaft. Have seen this in OEM builds.

Does anyone have a ribbed grip that they aren't using? I just regripped 4 wedges and trialled a diy rib using a cable tie with the tip cut off. So far feels exactly like I want it to. Wanted to see how it compares to a proper one.
