It is also important to note that length plays a vital role here too. Most guys need lie adjustments AND length adjustments.

    1) Take your comfy stance and the end of the grip should be level with the wrist line of your top hand
    2) Your eyes should be over the ball OR just inside the line of the ball
    3) The putter should be flat to the ground at address
    4) The left arm and putter shaft (ideally) should be close to a straight line from front on

These are the common fundamentals that I use to put the golfer in a better fundamental position to make a decent stroke (and do it more consistently). It will not make a bad putter great, but it will help with consistency and repetitiveness over time. The key thing is to remember that the inanimate object (putter) should ALWAYS be fitted to the animate object (you)
Totally agree with the length adjustment begin just as important. I had my putter cut down (from 34") again, and it plays 33" and it was like night and day. Both my pace and line was tons better!!! @fit wish you where closer!!!

I was going to invest in the proper hotmelt gun GSP, just a but exy considering the demand.

I think I could manufacture something to achieve the same result, just haven't had the time to play around with it.

Try pulling out both weights and sole lie thing and blow compressed air in one hole and hopefully the debris may blow out the others!

Doesn't he mean the tinny hollow sound inherent to the R11?

I am looking at getting a shaft for my R11 14* T3 3 wood. Its length is 41.5" raw. If I add a tip, will that make it 42" and play at 43"?

I also need one R11 ferrule for a 3 wood. What is my best option here.

    Peeps,

Best way to remove the paintfill from a Scotty cameron?

The lime green and white needs a touch up and im considering some other colours instead.

Stuck at home today so thought I might reshaft some irons but can't get the heads off. I am using a heat gun don't know what I am doing wrong. Should I just give it more time?

Heat until they twist off if steel shafted. Obviously be a lil careful if there are decals involved, but if not heat away. Some OEM's use pretty stern glue. If steel shafts - twist.

Default The "Ask a Clubmaker" Thread

Rob a trick I use with irons and steel shafts is, rather than securing them with a shaft clamp in a vice, I heat the hosel and once I think the epoxy has broken down enough, with a leather workmans glove or welding glove I grab the club head and hold the other end usually by the grip and simply twist.

This is very quick and usually requires less heat.

    OWAG,

I had a set a couple of weeks ago that were very similar. Instead of the heat quickly, turn head... Bang club apart. It was almost 4 minutes on the heat gun. Once this was done welding gloves on, and twist as hard a possible. Never had a set like it. ( factory fitted callaway irons?)

I was lucky not to pull a calf trying to seperate

Heat the Hosel pointing the Gun away from the Ferrule so as not to melt it turning like a Rotisserie untill it hisses if you touch it with a drop of water {like a Frying Pan} then stand on the Head and twist and pull!
