It sound like you have all the bits. You just need a shaft fitted and you are right to go.
Dropped the nakashima head and a shaft into the pro shop yesterday. Looks like the screw I've got is from a fairway wood as it's not long enough to get through the head and tighten into the hosel section.
I anticipate a needle in a haystack search to find an original driver length screw..

A Nakashima parts source in the UK had two driver screws but they measured the same as what i already had... Too short...
Eventually some creative thinking by the guy putting the shaft in got it all assembled and glued with a TM stock jetspeed shaft.
Three drives at the range were very encouraging , then the head got a bit loose where the spline part of the hosel goes into the head...
It may all be in the too hard basket.

Have you tried a dedicated bolt shop? It seems unlikely they would be using their own custom bolts because that costs then so much more

I did consider that but it is a reverse thread so not sure how many of those there are around.
By grinding down a bit of the head of the bolt there was enough thread to screw into the hosel section - I think the issue is that the splines in the hosel section and head are a slight loose fit and that is where it now has movement after being hit. Obviously more than the glue is needed to make it a tighter fit.
I'd like to find a solution as I like the way the club feels [in the hand and only after a few hits - and the SW is pretty close to my usual driver]

My cousin owned a bolt shop here and i did a bit of work on his website and the weird and obscure in bolts was beyond imagination. I mean who even knew a business could be run selling just bolts!

Take the bolt into one and show them. You might be surprised.

If you got none near you, send me a photo next to a ruler and I will go see my local one. Its not out of my way, besides I am a little curious now, as i am also 1 bolt short amongst my collection of junk.

After a late night email conversation with a UK Nakashima distributor I have now discovered that the bolt/screw is indeed the correct length but the issue is that the hosel adaptor that I have is either from a hybrid or fairway wood - hence the length being shorter...The correct adaptor sells for 38 pounds plus postage....
Probably would have saved me a bit of time if I had been told the first time that it was the adaptor and not the bolt/screw that was the issue - perhaps he had never worked with this brand before...
Anyway it's an interesting experiment that has cost bugger all so far - I'm unlikely to purchase the correct adaptor at this stage but will have another go at an alternative solution to keep the head solid.

Hi all, I brought a second hand set of irons which are a bit short. Should I get them lengthened or look around for longer +1.5" clubs?

    Hey mate,
Extending irons isn't too complicated or expensive.

Depends on how much you like the irons you have purchased

Hi there Chappy, I had you in mind ages ago when I was living in Kyneton but I moved to Tassie and now live in Launceston. I haven't played in a few years or tried the irons out yet. Just wanting to get back into golf now.

A long time ago Loz, yep.

Take your time, low heat around the bore thru on the sole and the crown, for best results.
You can also drill out the centre of the bore, through the inside of the shaft tip, heat up a bolt or rod and insert it into the drill out and break down the epoxy
