Looking for a 3i shaft ... And found a gripped shaft pull that is 38.5 in length. In general, what iron would a 38.5 shaft pull go into ?

    Thanks in advance.

Roughly it would be for a 2i mate. Assuming 38" playing length 5i that is.

Why aren't you removing the excess epoxy when wet???

I'd rather be putting on a little too much than not enough risking detachment. Ferrules used on some makes that more difficult to wipe clean.

You can put on a metric ****tonne, doesn't mean you can't wipe it off while still wet....

Any tips for removing the adapter screw from a driver head. It is threaded, I have a spare screw but cant get it out. Tried long nose pliers won't budge

Use a small pin punch and tap it out, rather than pulling it out.

    Long time, no see.

I bought a few new clubs off PING recently, and, having settled on the sleeve setting, I then removed the grips to realign them. I used my own double-sided tape and now the grips feel a bit too thick.

I noticed PING had used this super, super thin grip tape... so thin it was transparent.

Just wondering if this is double-sided tissue tape, and if anyone has used this type of tape with success?

Most Brands seem to use the spray on "tape glue" out of the factory these days. I am guessing you have a counter balanced shaft and it has a larger than normal butt diameter. That is how they get them counter balanced. Extra material at the butt and tip ends.

Ty Daves — so maybe masking tape and then a spray adhesive?

Shaft is the PING tour shaft, which I don't think is counterbalanced.

I will contact PING and see what they say.

I just use tape (Masking or Cloth) with some cheap Hair Spray. Double sided is over kill and a PITA to take off.

I am going to have to go against the tide here, and I'll disagree with cloth tape. As someone who changes grips for a living, there is nothing worse than trying to clean up the residue that it leaves behind.

I have also gone off hairspray - if you don't seat the grip right first time and have to move it, it will always move after. I have gone back to rubber cement as my preferred method. Plenty of time to get it right, and no movement after.

+4 just for the masking tape....

This one time... I tried using masking tape, hairspray and an air compressor.

I was setup in the bathroom and the air compressor cracked some of the tiles on the floor.

I don't always use rubber cement, but when I do I make sure it bounces at least once in the rough

Why not use masking tape and no glue? Just blow on using any of the usual lubricants
