    Hey guys, i'm trying to install some steel shaft extenders into some steel shafts. But the extenders don't seem like they fit into the butt of the shaft?

    They're just some steel tube things i bought online. Am I missing something?

    Yep. Steel shafts come in different butt sizes and so do the ends of the extensions. Unless you have the right size, they may not fit.

    Finally, a LL machine for the shed. Very easy to read and use. So if you are in the Townsville area and need some work done. Give me a yell.

    I need some advice on having my driver head fixed.
    Srixon 765, seems to be loose at the hosel.
    I have loosened and then re-tightened the driver head until the wrench clicks but its loose between the ferrule and the diver head.

    Seems to me the screw may be damaged, and I need to get the entire screw replaced.
    Is that a thing? Anyone had this before or have any advice?

    OK, one for the guys who use rubber cement to install grips...

    I do repairs at the Pro Shop I am working at, and the Pro has decided grips will be installed using rubber cement. No dramas for me, it's quite easy to install.

    My question is for removing - do they blow off easy enough, or should I be shoving a vee-tool up them to get them loose first?

    Cheers,
    Ben

    No idea mate but loving your new gig. No more FIFO and working at the local pro shop sounds great. Best job switch I’ve seen since Homer quit the nuclear plant and went to work at the bowling alley!
    Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

    Should you be removing them or cutting them off and selling a new set?

    Create a problem then sell them the solution. I learned that from Gruen.

    Benno grips come back off easy as and clean simple as you like. Feel much better installed you will wonder why you have been using it.

    A question for the club builders out there.

    I'm looking at buying a set of iron shaft pulls (5i-GW) to install into a set of Ping i210's.

    I've got the length of the pulls ungripped, but it finding hard to get my head around whether they will install at standard length (5i @ 38inch) once installed.

    Here's the length of the pulls ungripped -

    5i = 37.25
    6i = 36.75
    7i = 36
    8i = 35.25
    9i = 35
    PW = 34.5
    GW = 34.5

    As you can see the shafts are a little funky in the sense they are not .5 of an inch different in length throughout the set.

    Is anyone able to tell me if these can be used and butt trimmed to standard 5i 38inch length (the seller is saying they where 1inch over standard installed) ... I can't get my head around it, google is not my friend in this case .... Gahhh !

    Any advice appreciated.

    Generally add 1", so in this case, as is, you'll get:
    38.25, 37.75, 37.00, 36.25, 36.00, 35.50, 35.50

    Building to 38" 5i, you should need:
    38.00, 37.50, 37.00, 36.50, 36.00, 35.75, 35.50

    I'd suggest they are 1/4" too short in the 8i and PW. Old mate is dreaming these came out of 1" over set.

    G'day mate ...

    Thanks for the info ... that's what I thought the case might be, but not knowing the finer details was doing my head in.

    Appreciate it !

    Cheers,

    Dee.

    Sorry I'm a bit slow at times ...

    So to build a set of irons from a set of pulls to standard length (5i 38inch built) I would be looking for set of raw/cut length pulls of the following lengths ?

    4i = 37.5
    5i = 37
    6i = 36.5
    7i = 36
    8i = 35.5
    9i = 35
    PW = 34.5/34.75
