Trying to figure out the shaft size for a TM tp CB with graphite shafts.
    I see people said it's .355 but aren't graphite shafts normally .370?

    Thanks

More general rule would be to say any graphite shaft under 90g is 0.370. Anything over 0.355". Again this is the general rule and there will be exceptions.

Now, there are a few iterations of TM TP CB. The old model with the weight in the back, had the Fujikura TP90 shaft as stock graphite - these were 0.355.

The newer model doesn't have a stock graphite option, so should all have come 0.355".

So safe to say they are .355 as I think it's a stock TM graphite shaft that's 90g

Hmmm.... best way to pull graphite shafts without a shaft puller?

Personally, I don't think there is one. Others may differ.

I’ve blown the grip off a club and the serial stamping on the shaft is DGI SL300.

Would this lead you to believe it’s a super light?

    Shaft band just says S300.

Should be an older model standard DG taper tip. The L apparently stands for long Taper.

THE SL versions are coded DGSL300 from memory.

Amazing the things you find when you’re pulling a tip off a shaft. Scary! (No, I wasn’t the one that installed it)

Broken off tip weight, or the shaft not installed enough for a big blob of epoxy?

Yep, poor job causing the shaft to not bottom out in the bore. Lucky that the head didn’t come flying off and hit someone.

I was playing with a guy last year when from the middle of the fairway his 6 iron snapped at the head and the speed and sound it made as it whizzed past us was awesome.

    And very scary...

It ended up probably 100m + further up the fairway. The ball was just off the front of the green. Decent hit.

What's the longest ferrule length people have come across?

I have a 712U 2 iron and have a AD 95X shaft to go in but the tip prep is terrible and the current ferrule won't cover all of the "prepped area" and is f@#cking with my OCD...

Old style ferrules were always 1" or more. If you speak to someone who knows about ferrules or likes to have nice ferrules on their sticks, I'm sure they will tell you that on irons/wedges, up to 1.5" is not unusual.

Thanks guys, a 1" ferrule would work but I haven't come across any in my travels so far...

The one that was factory fitted was a small collared ferrule approximately 18-19mm in length and is about 2-3mm too short to cover the poor prep where the paint is missing
