One other possibility would be that the hosel could have been reamed to cater for a larger tip size (no homo).

    quick question here....
Would going to a stiffer shaft for a wedge lower the ball flight to eliminate the balloon shots? My miss tends to be a pulled left shots around 5-10M at worst. generally when i do a full swing
    Carry distance for 52 56 60 is 90,70,60

Currently the Callaway Copper forge wedges have a standard Callaway TT DG wedge shaft.

I have my eyes on a set of MD3 wedges but they come with KBS Tour V x stiff.

    So not sure

I've just messed around with the 712 MB by swapping the KBS Tour shafts I previously installed to a set of shorter NSPro shaft...
Loving the length of it during the weekend, but noticed the heads of some clubs are lighter than the other, so I am guessing my swing weights of the set is pretty much messed up...
so was planning to use some lead tapes and http://www.leaderboard.com/SWINGWT.HTM to calculate the swing weights....

If I were to add 2g of tape per swing weight point, would that move the calculation above with the change in the total weight or is the increase of such small amount is negligible?

    I always add and recalculate.

Did you not swing weight them when installing?

I personally don’t during experiment stage. Once I’ve settled on something, I’ll get the weights done to match.

nope... didnt have the proper gear and was just experimenting as JC mentioned...
Previous experiments seems to have been lucky as the sets didnt feel too different from one club to the next.... so didnt really bother me... just seemed more obvious with shorten shafts.

I really don’t think it makes a huge deal of difference.

I went 1 deep the other week with 5 different shafts in my set between 4i to GW.

I used the manual calc and found the 5,6,7 were at around C3 and the 8,9,pw were C6 which confirms how it felt for me.

Added 6g and 12g of lead tapes to bring them up to C9 or D0. See how I hit them at the range later

Don't suppose anyone can confirm the hosel size of the Ben Hogan Ft Worth 15 irons? I'm assuming 0.355 tapers but thought I'd check before I start pulling them apart.

    Cheers

Jazz just replace the BenHogan part of that link with the name of any of the main brands and you will get the specs for that brand.
