There are some freakin' knowledgeable experts on here.

I am constantly in awe and very glad to have the know-how on tap. I think I speak for many of us golf know-nothings.

The above may be an older post, but FYI - I was able to remove the back weight of the 2016 M2 yesterday with a T20 torx security screwdriver.
I didn’t need to heat the weight to loosen the loctite as some golfwrx posts suggested.

(Smaller weight in pic is the original...about 0.6 grams)

    Yep, even the XR Pros apparently;

    These listings are usually reasonably accurate;

Thanks mate. The lead tape is still doing the job but I’ll keep that in mind if I ever bother to do it properly.

If I am looking at using shims for fitting .355 to .370 hosel, is there anything special I need to prepare for the installation? or do I just put shims on shaft and glue?

    thanks

that's about it, assuming you are using the standard brass shim.

Small amount of epoxy on shaft tip, add shim, epoxy on shim/tip, then small amount of epoxy in hosel. push them all together.

I just reshafted the Toppies on the weekend with some tapers, used sand in the glue. Worked beautifully.

    Such pure irons

Anyone got any experience with the Tensei shafts in the TM drivers?
Are they made for, go any good?
    What’s a price for a pulled shaft?

There are two types of Tensei shafts.
The ck pro version and the ordinary ck series. The pro version is made with more exotic materials and also includes a boron tip for added stability.

    So to answer your questions.
No they are not made for version, they are only painted silver to better incorporate into the colour scheme of the M3/M4
Haven't tried them, but have hit the ck pro white and that thing is crazy low launch and low spin.
$50-$100 for a good condition stiff flex pull.

How are they not made for TM if they’re made for TM?

I find my CK blue stiff to be pretty good with a nice whippy feel on impact at a SS of 95-100mph.
Low spin, but slightly high launch for my swing.... pretty similar to the AD TP I had briefly.....

Still real deal flex / profile, not the typical "watered down" made for.

    Quick question regarding putter grips.
Have a SC Squareback and would like it to be a bit fatter grip (I have been using a superstroke on my Futura)
I was wondering how many layers of tape can i put under it, or is it better just to get the midsize grip?

Question for you club-maker type bods.

Ping G25 iron (a Pitching Wedge to be precise). CFS shaft. How easy to pull the shaft to replace?
Is it just a case of heating up the hosel and pulling the shaft out? If so, anything hard about fitting a new shaft? Particular size or anything? Particular glue?

    Thanks in advance.

Ping irons without a ferrule require a used shaft with a small tip prep otherwise the prep will show and rust.

Ping uses very strong epoxy so a heat gun will take ages better to use a butane or propane torch.

for me as a newbie DIY hacker... just having the right head source and thick heat glove is easy enough to pull the shaft... I have a mini butane torch that makes it pretty easy by heating the hossel till I can crack the shaft off... *add: used a heat gun and it took forever to take one off...
then you will need to have something to clear the inside of the hossel... I bought a hossel cleaning thing that goes on the a drill...

after that I just use 24hour Alradite epoxy to set it...

just dont burn yourself or the house down

Has anyone tried one of the Ezy Fit Driver Adapters as yet? As someone who has the same model shaft tipped with various brand Adapters, it has some attraction. They offer interchangeable Cogs (at extra cost) to suit Nike, Ping, Cobra, Callaway, TM and Titleist. Given Nike is included in the list, I assume they have been on the market for a while now?

Is it this one you looking at?

The AD TP that I bought recently came with one and a TM adapter... seem to work... head was on firmly.... only downside I had was scared of dropping that little ring adaptor.... so tiny and easy to loose i reckon.

I guess it would be cheaper than to buy the same shaft

There are negatives to the ezy fit adapter.

    1. You can only adjust loft and not face angle i.e Callaway's dual cog system.
    2. You have to change the screw inside any head that is not a TM style screw.
    3. The collars are very small and you could easily loose them.
    4. Additional collars are $20 through an Aussie seller, probably less if you buy from China but quality might be sacrificed.
    5. The adapter insertion depth is quite short and they don't come with a ferrule, so shafts with existing tip prep will show that tip prep above the adapter.

Obviously there are positives too, which you probably already know.
