Rubin you could tip a parallel steel shaft if you felt the need. Taper tip shafts aren't generally tipped

    Hi guys

I've got a Cobra driver with the weight fallen out. I don't have the weight to re-attached it.

Any suggestions what I could do to fix or make it look better?

    Thanks

Yeah that's the fall back option I think. Unfortunately I think this model came out before removable weights were popular....

Nope. Even had weights in the original ZL.

    Try golfworks....

    Paint fill question

I recently brought some Hogan 99 Apex blades of Scratch

Thought i would redo the paint fill. Did the black this arvo.

My problem is the little BH logo on the back. Its a gold outer, and the red BH inside

What is the best way of doing this?

Just do one colour, then let it dry for a few hours, then do the other colour?

Or is there a neater way than just dipping a pin in Tamiya model paint?

What is everyone using for glueing iron shafts? I.e. What epoxy? Shafting beads? Etc.

I use bramptons 20/20 epoxy. I have a small bit of quick set but mostly use the long cure. Much easier to work with. Only use beads (I actually just use washed fine sand) if the shaft is a little loose in the hosel. Have also been told that if you have a taper tip and the shaft is a little loose in the head, you can trim a couple of mm off the tip of the shaft and it will fit snugly.

I half-recall that they aren't, but can't remember the reason.

I guess it is because it hasn't been submitted to the R&A/USGA to be added to the 'Compliant Driver' list.

Or the club pro wanted the markup on ordering in a $450+ I15 or I20 driver.

    Quick question.

I'm reshafting a FW wood for one of the forum members. The head arrived with a broken shaft, sheared at the hosel. Traditionally, I have screwed a bolt welded to a small steel rod into the remaining part of the shaft, then installed in my shaft extractor and removed as you would a fully installed shaft.

I couldn't get the bolt to take in the hosel, so started down the other commonly alternative path of drilling out the remainder of the shaft. The drill bit didn't get far until I encountered something that I could drill through. It turned out to be a broken drill bit.

The Ozgolfer who I'm fixing it for had the head break at the range, and I suspect that the broken drill bit in the hosel played a big part in this.

any tips on getting this bugger out. I've removed much of the graphite tip but the drill bit is proving a challenge

Arildite, not the 5min one and no beads.
5 iron sets, including a set of bore throughs and numerous driver tips and no issues touch wood.

Maybe just soak the hosel in acetone for a while then try shoving a screwdriver down the inside of the hosel walls?

It works equally as well for the gluing, but can be harder when pulling as you have to get it hotter to break it down. To me that's the benefit of Bramptons / Golfworks on graphite shafts.

Once epoxy is set acetone does nothing to it unfortunately.
