That was an insult to the very fine Taskmaster name. Cannot believe how many tweeterers and Redditors are saying it was good. The whole thing was a cringey, boganish drossfest.

Only recently finished Welcome to Wrexham, really enjoyed it. It can be cringey at times, but quite enjoyed the progression of Rob and Ryan becoming fully emotionally invested in the club.
I take it they've been doing a series for this season, which with recent results would be just as good.

This is going to hurt - good but tough watch as well.

Remakes of popular shows seem to rarely work. At least not when the original was already known to the remake audience, ie from UK to US

Good News Week and Spicks and Specks were good remakes.

But they didn't use the unfunny and repetitive 'clowns' that are on retainers at Channel 10.

I was absolutely devastated. I BADLY wanted it to be great. Even good would have been acceptable / tolerable.

But this fell SO short.

Tom Gleeson completely lacks the authority, gravitas and reserved quiet dignity (underpinned by the completely juxtaposed genuine "WTF Greg!!??" moments) required of the role, Tom Cashman seems to have nothing of the oddness / quirk / subtle cheekiness that the Assistant needs, not to mention absolutely no dynamic between the TM and his assistant. The timing and pacing of the show was all over the shop, the laugh track was ****ING infuriating, and to top it all off there's an EXTRA set of ads in there too, so this was 5 parts instead of 4. Hell, it may have been 6 parts, I genuinely can't remember. There was an ad between the finish of the studio task and the scoring of the points FFS.

The Last of Us is the best show in years. Only Episode 3 and anyone who played the game.. holy shit it is good.
Easily the best computer game - movie or TV show.

Was a great story line i thought.. and tied in nicely. Way better than the nonsense filler episodes of YellowStone. Fly Episodes of Breaking Bad and Boxing Episode of Battlestar.

Found it rather compelling and the ending was awesome.

Also just finished The Bear, as person who spent a lot of time in Kitchens when i was younger... that one struck a cord. Hanging for Season 2 now.

I burn salads when I try to cook, so the show did nothing for me from that perspective, but I used to live with a couple of absolutely mad ****s lads who were chefs, so was very interesting to watch from that side.

REALLY enjoyed it, hanging for Season 2 also. Jeremy Allen White is a thoroughly underrated actor.
