It's more likely to be limited by the number of seeders/peers than your broadband speed. It could only take 10 minutes.
Thanks. It was telling me it was going to take a week. That seemed excessive!
File size and broadband speed is the key. As AP, the newer the file the quicker it will be, but for a 30 minute show you're looking at minutes.
PS - Series 6 of House have appeared somewhere on the internet, with reported download speeds of 1000 kb/s (for the hi-def/720p version).
The time reported in your app is probably because no one was seeding, which might even be a configuration problem with your application/internet connection.
Lucy Harris smart smart smart, Martin Harris dumb.
Can anyone shed some light on 30 Rock ?
I have heard from most sources that this is Americas successor to Arrested Development ? Half way through Series 1 and I hav to say I am pretty disappointed. Does this show improve?
Also watching series 2 of Flight of the Conchords. Good show this.

Given Arrested Development finished in 2006 and 30 Rock started then I think you have your predecessors and successors mixed up.
Maybe it is a bit too much of an 'insiders' show - but having worked behind the scenes of a TV comedy (however fleeting that may have been) I find it hilarious.
FOTC is excellent - the choir of ex-girlfriends singing Carol Brown is real high point.
I watched Wipeout with the kids last night. You can't help but laugh. Bring back It's a Knockout.
Wipeout is well produced for the crap it's putting on our TV's.
The United States of Tara is fantastic. If you're not already watching I recommend finding the episodes, well worth it.

Whilst in NZ I saw a preview for a 3 part show called 'Meet The Natives', where they get 5 guys from a stone age village on a pacific island and take them to live in London. Looks intriguing.
The other one I'm hearing things about is Reno 911. Can anyone comment?
Reno 911 is generally poor.
AFAIK nuthing at all, still waitiing for the return of the Doctor. What else is out there at the moment?
A lot of stuff has only just began airing in the US.
A lot of previous big name shows newer seasons have just aired their first few episodes - Supernatural, Sons of Anarchy, House, Greys Anatomy, CSI, Two & A Half Men, NCIS, Law & Order (20th season ), Flashpoint
...and there are a few newcomers as well.
The Forgotten: Stars Christian Slater. It's another law/missing persons type show. Basically, Slater is apart of a volunteer group of people that try and identify unidentified murder victims. Once the police investigation goes cold and the shelve it to move on to a fresher case, Slater and crew are given the task of trying to identify the John/Jane Doe. It's another Bruckheimer production, so if you've ever watched CSI/Cold Case, then you've seen it all before - way too many times. The start of every episode - and return from commercials - is a few shots of the city from above - then a few whodunits, mixed with an interview or 2, some snazzy editing over a funky beat whilst someone figures something out - and BAM, you have your new evidence and new plot direction. Show wraps up tidily in the last 120 seconds - and it's as boring as bat shit. Might have been good 5 years ago, but they may as well have called it CSI+Cold Case: Chicago (Without a Trace). Don't expect this to reach a 2nd season. I also won't bother downloading Episode 2.
The Good Wife: About the Wife of a politician. He get's publicly busted for corruption (and cheating on her). He goes to prison, so she decides to go out and live her life. She's about 40, and gets an entry level position at a law firm. - This show actually looks pretty good. Well cast, well made. It works for me though, as I don't watch any other lawyer-specific show (Boston Legal, Shark, The Practice) - so I have nothing to really compare it too, which is good. This is one I'll keep downloading/watching. I liked it.
NCIS: Los Angeles - Chris O'donnell & LL Cool J. Another standard cop show that wraps up way to nicely in the last 120 seconds. Good for NCIS tragics, but most fans of this type of cop-show formula will already have their favourites, and won't stick around for more than an episode or 2. It's not overly bad (yet not overly good either) - it's just been done better before, and is being done better now. Another doubtful Season 2 recipient.
Plenty more new shows out there as well. It's just a matter of trying to cypher through all the crap in hopes of not wasting your download limits.

I have said it before and will say it again, if someone wants to download a seriously great show, or pay postage on me sending them a copy of the downloads on DVD, Breaking Bad is a seriously great show.

is there anything out there that doesnt involve, crime, law or hospitals?
Fringe is good too.

Recently watched The Thick Of It, a BBC UK fly-on-the-wall style comedy set in the government department for social affairs. Quite good. Made in the mold of The Office, and while it was nowhere near as good as that, it is worth a watch.

Ad another show to the list, Modern Family. Check it out from the usual places. Btw The Good Wife is pretty good too.
