They have actually tried to reduce confusion by merging characters, for example, Tywin Lannister.

They've certainly cut down of the Harrenhal characters. They've rolled Roose Bolton into Tywin, Weese into Amory Lorch and it seems Vargo Hoat won't be turning up at all.
And yet the addition of Talisa and the massive amount of time they've given to her and Rob is something of a surprise and Roose Bolton is hanging out in that camp. Odd.

Giving Tywin more time seems smart. In fact he doesn't really get any time in the books until later. The Talisa one is interesting.

Other oddities I'm waiting to sort themselves out are the changes to Jon Snow's story arc and Roose's bastard son, who has been mentioned but has not entered when expected.

It seems that the Bastard of Dreadfort is being sent to Winterfel by Rob rather than as an opportunist.

Jon's story is shorter so far and they had to be absolutely clear what was happening with Craster's sons (US audiences apparently can't take hints)

The stealing of Dany's dragons was the most jarring thing for me this season.

Did Theons side-switching seem too quick and contrived to you guys? I'll admit that confused the hell out of me before I picked it up (with so many important characters I often forgot who is who)
Also his entire character seems to be contrived or forced, like its the wrong actor for the part. Though I wonder if that is intentional to make him look like a fish out of water.

As for the rest I think each actor has being excellently cast for the roles that I see them playing.

Apple TV is a little box you can buy that hooks your tv up with your home network.

I can download movies and tv shows through Itunes. Watch the latest trailers. Play my music through the TV. Put my pics up on the TV too ... lets my iphone connect to the tv too.

So I assume you pay for each episode, how much?

XBMC is a free third party app, installed on a Jail broken Apple Tv 1 or 2 (or PC/Mac/Linux/Iphone/Ipad/anybloodything), which allows you to play any format video, from your own network. In otherwords download stuff online, or your own home movies and chuck em on a shared folder on your computer, and watch away. Can also watch a bunch of other free streaming video services.

I have been using mine this way for quite a while. It has been the most stable media player I have used, and the missus can understand it, plus the iphones can be used as remote controls.

Persons of Interest if I haven't already mentioned it. Great first season cliff hanger.

Unfortunately two others I enjoyed being Alcatraz (I know, it was full of holes but a fun watch) and Breakout Kings were both axed for next season. Add that to V and The Unit and I'm feeling like I shouldn't watch any more shows for fear of having them cancelled.
