I just finished A Murder At The End Of The World. Really interesting storyline but the ending let it down a little IMO.

The new series on Apple TV+ called Criminal Record has started really well.

The next season of True Detective has just started, with Jodie Foster as the lead. Will definitely be checking it out.

The producers of Band of Brothers & The Pacific have a new series called Masters Of The Air starting in a few weeks also.

Up to date with S2 of Reacher, love it.

Cruised thru Lawmen: Bass Reeves, quite liked it personally.

    Enjoyed Special Ops: Lioness.

    Hijack was very good.

S1 of Slow Horses was quite good.

S2 of Bosch Legacy was very good. There's something about Bosch that i love.

1883 was superb even if mostly depressing above all.

The Expanse S1 was quite decent.

Dark Winds S2 was excellent. slower type procedural and i dig it.

Rabbit Hole was ok, not great.

The Bear S2, many won't like this show but i quite enjoy it and JLC was awesome.

I watched Pitch and really enjoyed it, something different.

The shock for me was a week or two ago when my niece and sister made me sit thru "Derry Girls". I would not have picked it for myself in a million years. Absolute riot of a show. It's a teen comedy set around the times of the troubles and the Northern Island peace process but it's never overly allowed to take centre stage or dominate in the comedy based show. It was actually very smart how they kept it on the fringes while still giving some insight.

Trying S4 of True Detective, S1 was one of the greatest seasons of anything ever of course.

If anyone got hold of the previous 3 series of Fargo on SBS, which IMO, were all outstanding.
There is a new series of Fargo, which has John Ham as the main antagonist, out and it is equally as excellent as the previous 3, noting that they are all very different story lines, but all based in Minnesota

I think you missed a year chappy. S4 was considered well below the first three from memory.

Yeah just checked it out, reviews really well like the first three. Will put it on my list.

Edit - It's S5 mate. You missed the right one, S4. Having said that it had a helluva lot to compete against - great show.

First ep of True Detective S4 done. Beautifully filmed and color me already drawn in by the myriads of possibilities. Will see it out at any rate.

Watched the first episode of slow horses after a recommendation from Ian Carter on the chipping forecast pod... has potential and I do enjoy Gary Oldman

I found it very good and it ramped up nicely towards the end.

    ... and it's been signed for S5.
One of the best shows on tv, and Garry Oldmans character just gets better and better (and more flatulent). I think he's said he'll happily play him until they cancel it, and then he'll retire.

    Reacher
    Was
    Awful

Devoid of wit, cleverness, intrigue or any redeeming feature what so ever. It was like a 10 year old boy wrote the screenplay.

It felt like one of the worst episodes of Matlock ever.

Jack Reacher reminded me of David Puddy from Seinfeld.

    Currently watching Beef.

Its pretty good, sort of dark funny/watching a train wreck.

I think I'd probably like it more if Succession hadn't been the last long series I watched, need space between series that have a number of unlikeable characters.

Season 2? Or 1? I thought 1 was OK - entertaining, but not much suspense in the end, everyone got the pay-off they were looking for. Haven't seen season 2 yet.
