He’s a big dude in the books. That’s why the Tom Cruise movie was strange.

I believe in the books he's taller than this dude! There was a lot of hype about little Tom getting the role. There's reports the author wouldn't license any more books to him so he couldn't make any more movies.

I actually thought the movie was decent (but not great). Going to have to check this show out, I've seen it a few times now in my Prime home screen.

The first movie was enjoyable. The second was crap.

Thats the thing. The 5 against 1 not a fair fight scene loses its impact when the 1 is a 6ft+ brick outhouse. Not that I wont enjoy it. Just thats my first reaction.

After promising first seasons, I've gone off both The Righteous Gemstones and Raised by Wolves.

Resident Alien has continued on where it left off and I'm quite enjoying it.
I've also just completed Season 1 of The Killing (the original Danish version that the US one was based on). It was a slow burn, but was still thoroughly engaging.
The first part of Ozark Season 4 was great, can't wait for the final episodes (expected to be in the second half of the year).

I'm going to give Murderville and Reacher a look next. I'm also keen to check out Suspicion, The Cleaning Lady, The Responder, The Silent Sea and Peacemaker.

I was a bit over Raised by Wolves by the end of the first season, but I thought the first ep of s2 was more promising. I'm waiting for Pieces of Her with Toni Collette to start.

Is this sarcasms? After all of these years I can never tell with you, Blakey.

Jack Reacher is described in the books as being 6'5" and a man mountain. Even the dude playing him in the series is only 6'2".
I've taken shits taller than Tom Cruise.

EDIT: Just read the next page of comments. I stand by my statement on turds and Tom Cruise.

Started watching Reacher, enjoying it. Is it just me, or does the guy playing Reacher seem to be channelling Tom Cruise at times? Just some of his delivery reminds me a bit of Cruise.

    100%

Have you noticed all camera shots are looking up at him ?

And i do think the next series has to be a little tighter - this was VERY close to the book - and the screen play was written like the book...

They added a bit of a story line from Without Fail in the series which was strange.

maybe the tall guy is channeling the book character, and so did the Scientology guy.

Just finished watching Joe Pickett. We enjoyed it. Stars Michael Dorman, who was in the Secret Life of Us and most recently For All Mankind. Our ex sister in law was his drama teacher in high school.
Happily it's already signed for a second season. A little bit of a slow burn, but enjoyable with some good characters.

Loving the new season of Bosch, Bosch Legacy and from the same author, the Lincoln Lawyer.

Stay Close on Netflix was great too.

Enjoying The Lazarus Project so far.

Edit: It was fantastic! Great cast. Really enjoyed it, and a great take on the "groundhog day" thing. Better be another season as the few cliffhangers were great.

Started The Old Man on Disney+ - Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow, in a geriatric thriller - so the pace won't be quick! Bet we enjoyed the first 2 eps.

Awesome show... really liked LetterKenny as well.. except towards the end of last season.

Slow Horses is Excellent and Terminal List was a bit different maybe ... sort of.

The Old Man is a bit slow.. but very watchable.

Anyone else here addicted to "Alone" ?

After doing a search it seems Mr Inbetween hasn't been mentioned. I'd find that odd, tho it is a bit obscure for some reason. Maybe i missed it.

It's one of the greatest shows i have ever seen and it's Australian. I couldn't stop watching it. Episodes are very short which makes it even more watchable. The lead was born to play that role, and actually wrote it for himself.

When they do violence it's much more believable than your usual fare all the way down to the Sterling submachine gun. I think that was ep 04 and the show went from bloody good to stupendous for me in the blink of an eye. Ray is so interesting and plays his part so well Mundane banter is elevated.....and often hilarious. I can think about a scene a day later and break into chuckles.

The violence isn't over relied on and it's just brilliant. His character arc is also superb.

    It's simply must see entertainment.

    Amazing.

I don't think LetterKenny is suited for a binge watch. We watched all seasons except the last over the course of a month, and it got too much. We have started the last and I'm still a bit over it.
Is Shoresy the same purile stuff as the character in LetterKenny, or a bit different?

I have seen this recommended on another forum. I'll definitely have a look if I ever get the Binge streaming service.

Yep - totally addictive - i just fast forward the "im doing it for my family" bits.

but the girls are the most surprising... the 90 day one with for 1 million was just awesome.

Shoresy has a little more soul to it. It is better paced and the characters are just better. Lkenny got a bit too repetative on binge mode.. with you on this.

As for Mr Inbetween - Best Aussie show in years. Stop what you are doing and just watch it.. not since Blue Murder have you seen a better show.
