Default Please help my swing - brutal honesty needed!

I'm having a bit of trouble with my golf swing, this was at a charity golf day for work and I was terrible. I have another golf day coming up soon playing with some important clients and I have no time to get lessons, please help me!

    Hmmm . . . .

not much we can do here mate, not sure how much you want out of Golf, but you need some lessons.

A weekend clinic would be my choice as a place to start, cheap and you should be able to get some advice.

Your posture, setup and pretty much most other bits in there need some work.

    Good luck

Many golf lessons and some yoga wouldn't hurt either. You look stiff and totally unco.

I giggled at the last remark 'Any comments Blakey'.

Where are you based, as we may know a clinic or pro in your area?
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

Start wit chipping and pitching once you got your posture, stance and grip worked out. You will need 50 reps of 10m, 20m, 30m and 40m each. Do this 4 times per week over the next three weeks.

Get on the green and repeat for putting on 1', 2', 3' and 5' distances.

Don't do full swing as you will go back to what you have now.

Don't ask your mates for advice. Talk to a Pro to get posture, stance and grip right and only apply to the above.

Net result will be that you will putt better than most 20 handicappers and your short game will be about the same.

Full swing will eventually work itself out as you will have consistency at impact.

Thanks guys, I appreciate you not holding back on your comments.

It's difficult as I work long hours but am expected to socialise at these events as I have a pretty senior position at my work. It gets fairly stressful as I am closing deals while playing and often while my mind is on the negotiation and which closing technique I will use my golf game goes haywire.

If you are really expected to play golf as a business rep and that is where the business deals get done then maybe talk to your work about getting time to work on your game. If you are comfortable on the course it will make it a lot easier to focus on the business side of things.

As far as what to work on, there is a lot there.

I would start with these two articles

    http://www.iseekgolf.com/golfinstruc...f-swing-part-1
    http://www.iseekgolf.com/golfinstruc...f-swing-part-2

as mentioned above work up the distances, good luck with it all and you will need to put some time in to get to a level where it becomes second natureish.
