    Default Champs Results

Thread for official results and I will update as they come in. Here's what I can remember.

Congratulations to the 2011 OZgolf Champion, nudgee. A deserving winner.

Commiserations and well done to the 2011 OZgolf Champs Runner-up, golfer69, who lost on countback.

Well done to the third place getter, kpac.

Nice work by the day winners too; Day 1 was golfer69 and Day 2 was Timah!.

Hopefully all of the NTP and long drive results don't get misplaced. It would be great to post them and have the winners post the stories of the shots.

I know that matty won Long Drive on Sat and Oxy, my cart partner, won the long drive today, putting it past the previous holders of it, while they were still standing there.

    Overall
    Winner - nudgee
    R/U - golfer69
    3rd - kpac
    Gross - markTHEblake

    NAGA - Choppa
    Blue Balls - td42t
HO of the Champs - BrisWesty

    Day 1
    Winner - golfer69
    Long Drive (10th, our 1st) - matty
    Approach (12th) - BrisVegas
    NTP (14th) -
    NTP (4th) - Stolen
    Approach (8th) - Ferrins

    Day 2
    Winner - Timah!
    NTP (6th) - BrisVegas
    Long Drive (16th) - Oxy

Spectacular shot. Thought it was going to be the champs first hole in one.

Think I had the NTP on the 14th the first day.
Day 2 G69 had the approach shot on 2.
Not sure about NTP on the 11th.
I had the approach on 13 was it?
Dickie picked up all the markers day 2.

    Thats all I can remember

Virge had 11th NTP sewn up on Sunday, according to the 2nd last group.

(Or did the last group win that? )

You don't remember the other awards you won - why is that?

Blue Balls for failing to attend the presentation ceremony.
Also Longest Driver (literal) to actually attend the champs.

    Champs stats

Golfer69's best result before this year was 16th.
kpac has finished no worse than 12th in 4 Champs.
Iain has 5 top 10s from 8 Champs.
12 debutants this year. The best result from Brokar, the worst by matty.
Equal most OZgolfers at the Champs (47) [those that intended to play 2 rounds].
Choppa has finished in the top 20 every time that he has played on the Sunday.
Only 6 players from last year, didn't return to play this year.

No idea, but Oxy held his position after round 1 last year. From memory, they have come from the last group the last few years.
